Thoughts on a Jeep Wrangler?

I've got a I6 with a 5 speed manual. Soft top. First and only vehicle and I have a shit eating grin whenever I drive it

I've taken a qt to the mountains and I got head

They're cool and a blast to drive, but far over priced because Jeep tax.

For the price of a decent Wrangler you could buy two 4x4 1/2 ton pickups

I got all of these for the average going price of a non shit wrangler in my area

Willys designed it, AMC perfected it, Chrysler ruined it.

cj good
yj good
tj good
jk absolute fucking garbage

I also wanna buy some old 4x4 trucks with a big v8. More practical to haul stuff

jk is comfortable, but it's too fat. Too wide

I have a yj. Next will be a cj5

Anyone do a nutter bypass in 4.2L?

This is literally backwards. They only got better as the years went on.

t. yj owner

waaay to wide
i found that the tj had the most comfortable seats

good man

fuck off EPA

The coil springs in a tj definitely help off road performance

>all dodge power wagons
You have taste nigger.
I'm going to assume only the front one and rear one are 4x4. Middle looks 2wd

EPA is responsible for how fat and big jks are

jk is better in every way.
better engine, better suspension, stronger axles and gears, longer wheelbase.

>and every 80% of the rubicons and dealer-lifted models are driven by females

that alone is a fantastic selling point, because you know those whores aren't taking them offroad

yes, but tj is still d30/d35
jk is second generation d44 with bigger 30 spline axles and bigger ujoints.

the jk axles are actually a really good upgrade for tjs and yjs.

fuck yeah jeep thread

I love me Sammy's

Agreed. The only people who disagree are the inline six fangirls who romanticise with the idea of an archaic engine design.
JK is literally better than the TJ it replaced in every measure... As long as it's not that push rod 3.Great litre.

minivan engine
longer wheel base
wtf does stronger gears mean
this makes no sense retard
you're fucking retarded mom
now go pick up steve from soccer practice

i was retardedly speaking about the new shit engines

bingo

bigger ring gear than any other jeep before it.
if you knew anything about offroading you'd know that gear size, axle size, axle splines, and ujoints are the 4 most important things as far as "reliability"

all of which are greatly improved on the jk.

Jeeps have differed greatly throughout the years. Lots of opinion between them. The biggest difference in opinion occurs usually between the AMC vs Chrysler years.

Known Facts:
>AMC v8 + any CJ = win
>Dana 35 is a shit
>4.2/4.0 I6 is pretty legendary
>Chrysler early years are generally pretty bad
>JK's are universally accepted as mall crawlers, although exceptions do exist.

>Hurr durr bigger is better
>if you knew anything about offroading you'd know that gear size
Yeah, any swapped axle would get you beat there. Hell, an AMC 20 has a beefier ring gear than a 44. They are almost twice as thick. Personal preference, but I'd take an AMC 20 with 1-pc axles over a 44. But to each his own.

>axle size
See above. For anything more than DD, I've always swapped the rear end, usually for a dana 60, and occasionally an 14 bolt. Dana 44's are decent when built correctly.

>axle splines
Irrelevant. Once you get into the ~30 spline range which all vehicles 1970's+ have, they are very comparable. The 44 especially. Unless you're comparing very early CJ's, which is apples to oranges.

>ujoints
Yeah, anyone that tells you the differences between a front U-Joint in axleshafrts hasn't offroaded much. The biggest issue comes with lockers (increased stress), and by that point you should have considered swapping a front end or accepted the fact you're going to grenade axleshafts. The fact you don't acknowledge the Dana 30 knuckles that come on the JK shows your ignorance.

Keep loving the cuckold JK, though.

Where do I start.. let's see.

>bigger is better
Literally yes.

>AMC20
Is literally dogshit.

>irrelevent
yjs and tjs have 27 spline front axles so..

>ujoints
the gen 2 d44 knuckles are not the same size as the 30, that's literally one of the points of the upgraded d44

so basically shut the fuck up retarded benchracer.
go try to pretend like you know what youre talking about somewhere else

a stock jk will walk whatever piece of shit you own. it's just a fact. get over it poorfag loser.

>jk cuckhold
i own a yj.. and i'd never buy a jk ever

You seem buttfustrated and didn't really counter any of my points, other than blatant attacks without merit or any factual evidence.

I am disappointed, and fully flaccid.

good car if you are a broad
