I mean, I guess with labor $175 isn't horrible. You could do it yourself cheaper. $17 for a cheap set of front pads, $70 for 2 new front rotors, a couple more bucks for some lubricant.

OP. Get the Haynes manual for your car then watch a few videos of people of people changing the same model. Set aside a few hours on a weekend to work on it as your first time will be probably frustrating and thing go wrong. After your first set, youll get the feeling of it and have no fear changing them.
