What the fuck am I supposed to do?
Don't fall for "is a meme" memes
Life is a meme.
Are you awake now? Everyone 30 and under has been sold out.
If you fail all these things, then you're probably the one who's a meme.
run your own business? you only need like 10 k to start. Work in MCslavers until you save up enough
1. Do any job and save up 25k+
2. Trade!
STEM and trades really aren't bad memes if you don't mind a comfy wageslave lifestyle
Accept that there is no easy ride job nor safe career. You will get lucky or you won't, the best bet for you is to work hard and be frugal and make sound investments with riskier portfolio items only if they don't interfere with your standard of living.
>just start your own business bro :)
yea that's as much useful as just bee urself
>What the fuck am I supposed to do?
kys
What you like
become a famous meme
its the only way to be rich
or buy btc and wait 10 years
Trades aren't a meme sire you Max out at like 60k a year tops but always in demand
>start your own business
T H I S IS A MEME
What business can you start with 10,000?
I thought most need 400k down, and borrow 600k
STEM isn't a meme, just keep your ambitions in check. You're probably not smart enough to be a doctor or engineer, but there are plenty of good opportunities for nurses, medical technicians, and engineering technologists.
Trades are good too, but there's this misconception that you can do a year in trade school and that certificate makes you an in-demand skilled worker. It doesn't. You still have to get through years of apprenticeship, and it's a real pain in the ass but well worth it in the long run.
You could do it with less but most small businesses fail. Fucking quickly too.
If you're driven enough to start your own business when you have learned a trade, you can make millions. Takes years but still.
I was in college for computer science and dropped out. I thought my life was gonna be over but I learned web-design, general programming, and brushed up on my art in my off time and now make a killing off designing, maintaining, and upgrading local business websites as well freelance graphic art (combined, mind you). I suffered doing warehouse work for almost a year in between that, but it was worth the wait. I also started doing game design this fall since games = products and the first projects been going great.
In hindsight though I'd say lay out the fields you're interested in, put in the effort to study one if you can, and then see if you can start a business with that. It costed me nothing to start doing web design. I recommended notepad++ if you decide on trying that route, mind you though, the market for it is kind've saturated and tough.
everythong is a meme this everyone does memes so dont be afraid to meme
if u meme hard u can move up in the meme world
everything is a meme when you think about it.
Great post, well memed my friend.
Life is a meme, senpai
This
Just do any job and invest all the money you earn, eat nothing but beans
Check em.
Check'd.
>Not realizing that "x is a meme" is a meme
>falling for the meme meme
>only having 25k
>believing in the trading meme
study medicine
What's better,
>shit grades (like barely passed tier) in a good degree like mech eng / EE / chem eng
or
>straight A's (literally all A's) in a shit degree like history, english or communications
or
>meh grades (C average ish) in a meh degree like finance/econ/law/medicine
since nobody cares about grades 1>3>2
>since nobody cares about grades
i don't believe you
hard work isn't a meme, fool. you have to grind for a while
it will be harder to get a good first job, but if you succeed there for a few years it won't matter anymore. But you it will probably take you longer to climb your way up
source: engineer who has interviewed people
Can confirm. I followed 2, and haven't been able to find full time work since graduating. Most employers don't even ask for gpa
>What the fuck am I supposed to do?
Not take Veeky Forums jokes literally and live your life normally you dumbfuck autistic cunt.
e-commerce?
Considering I'm good friends with a few engineering students who weren't anything special, just partied when they weren't passing, and they all got solid jobs right out of school (55+k, in an area where the overall average income is 30k/year) and one (girl) who got a BA in philosophy with magna flying colors and currently cannot find a job beyond a bicycle courier.
I dunno, do the math.
> Trades
> Meme
Youwotm8?
find out what skills businesses are actually looking for, they are always complaining about being unable to find people with the right qualifications
I've never once heard people talk about what they actually physically do at work. It's literally a fucking ephemeral language game no one ever actually divulges into and it annoys the shit out of me. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU FUCKS EVEN DO AT YOUR FUCKING OFFICE JOB HUH? EXPLAIN YOURSELF REGASRHGARHASDRHSAEDRHSEDITRJWSDJH
>Do maths.
Pffft, no way faggot.
STEM isnt a meme but it is sperg shit like programming or EE that only literal Autists enjoy
You know when you send an email complaining about a product?
YEeaaa we all get to see that email
then we pass it around and laugh at you
find your social media to laugh even more
photoshop dicks in your mouth
then we fap to your wife and kids
there you go
9am: Get into office and drink coffee/chit chat until 10
10am: Read emails, roll my eyes at ones I don't like and respond to the easy ones first to look busy. Browse internet in between
11:30am: Starting thinking about where to eat lunch, answer a couple of emails
12pm-1: Lunch
1pm: Stare at some spreadsheets, pay some bills, and browse the internet some more
3pm: Desperately wish the day was over. Look for some more work to do.
4pm: Be relieved there's only an hour left. Browse the internet in celebration.
5pm: Go home, wishing my life was more interesting.
What this user said, except I handle software deployment. Which is essentially Operations.
>follow 60 steps throughout multiple servers to complete this process that used to require 1,400 steps. God bless automation and the ensuing layoffs
>good opportunities for nurses
nice meme, they are paid worse than teachers for what they do.
>BA in philosophy
surprised she can't get a job.
are women really this stupid?
I am kind of in a similar situation to the one you were in. I have been doodling random things notepad++ with javascript, html and css since I was 14, I could easily learn some decent programming skills auto-didactically, but there is not much hope of me going to uni.
Don't you have to be a graduate to get any kind of IT job? Isn't it very difficult to get any kind of return on freelance work and starting your own sites? That is the impression I get is I am wasting my time on a pipe dream.
Howd you push/organize yourself to learn web design/general programming?
I tried using coursera and codeacademy but shit was boring af.
Fpbp.
Whatever you do op, establish credibility and build skill in your field. Be active when it comes to building your credit arsenal, look for info on what you can do to increase your vhances of employment, including potentially embarassing yourself by petitioning for the help of your superiors.
just look for something to produce and start with making a really low amount of it and try selling that.
from then on if it's starting to become a ritual thing keep growing by getting more customers
everything has demand if it's useful to yourself so look to make something you actually enjoy using/consuming
idk
here
I am motivated by putting ideas I have into practice. I like the process of mulling things over, coming up with a plan and figuring out how to execute it step by step. Even if I find out the project is too big for me I can often accomplish a few steps and learn something.
coursera and codeacademy I think make the same mistake as many teachers who just drop a bunch of work in front of you and leave you wondering what it is all for. If you can see why you need to learn a piece of code I think that would motivate you to want to learn it so you can try it yourself.
>tfw you have to poo
Any suggestions on where to how to learn web design/programming then?
What? GF is a nurse and she'll make somewhere around 50-60k first few years. Its not huge but hardly bad.
>be me
>try the Engineering meme
>fail it first semester
>now in the process of going for the Accounting major at CPP
I don't think it's a meme here. What chance I got of getting a decent job with decent pay?
STEM is not a meme but you need to live in/near a tech hub to make much use of it.
codecademy is ok, just go to w3schools and other places and look up the codes to make buttons and text boxes and things in javascript and html, once you complete one simple thing you will be motivated, you will want to move onto more complex things and learn more
get notepad++ and go to jsfiddle.net
don't tell them you fool!!!!
Maybe the real meme is university. Anyways, I my tuition was paid with scholarship and grants, so I just did minimal work and graduated with a 3.3 GPA. Went to a pretty top tier state school though.
Finished uni in May and making 65K/yr now working for an well known insurance company.
Nurses start at 60k and with experience can make up to 80k. Add in their public sector benefits and it's more like 100k. And then there are northern allowances and shit like that for people who are willing to work in remote areas. Nurses are highly in demand everywhere. A nursing degree is a golden ticket and it isn't all that hard to get.
Which degree
Which CPP?
shouldve went to Community college for first two years, thats what I am at now.chance to gain work ethic and fuck up here and there and not owe an arm and a fucking leg.
Cal poly Pomona.
I did.
Lies we don't have a semester system.
Thanks senpai
lol I have a lot of friends who went there.
how did you fail engineering? i failed my 3 first semesters and was still able to catch up
Work at Walmart and collect food stamps and section 8.
>be me
>try the Engineering meme
>fail it first semester
Are you me?
>tfw I bought the humanities meme and did philosophy instead
It's good fun though.
This, life is the most absurd meme there is. Just do what you want to do OP. Don't fall for the memes.
I'm studying engineering and I'm not really that smart.
