Probably trying to manipulate the price downward. If the cut is large then people will just wait for your stuff to get bought instead of undercutting. If you undercut by 0.01, it's going to take forever to bring the cost down anywhere. 10 should be a good target for that.

sometimes people don't pay attention so if you undercut by 10.01 or 1.01 they fuck up their adjustment buying you 5 more minutes in the number 1 spot

Also do get a blockade runner, it's only of the few haulers that's really difficult to catch so no one bothers with it unless you land off station instead of an instant dock

If you're gonna use a blockade runner always have instant docks and undock for every major trade hub station to avoid getting ganked. Your cargo is unscannable but honestly that attracts more ganker because it's like having a double wrapped package in your hold

In Jita, however, just undock and instantly bookmark and you're good.
