The sprites get redrawn completely.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Altera got a total rework and so did Emiya. Think Nero as well. While Vlad, Gil and some others just got animation change.

I guess the only thing to do in situations like this is wait and hope.

She is a 1 to 1 clone of her chichiue.

Still haven't rolled him so I can't say for sure, but it seems like his strengths are in star gen and in NP damage, so Three Great Heroes or Holy Night Supper might be good. Imaginary Around is also probably good since it'll make his Quick cards gen more NP and more stars.

You could try and mess around with giving him star absorption CEs so he's more of a crit damager, but that's a little wonkier and outside of what his kit provides. You might even be able to put 2030 on him and make him a support if his star weight isn't that high.
