i think in "art" terms cars are a pretty recent phenomenon so you're not going to see cars painted by Monet or Renoir for obvious reasons.
Contemporary artists depict cars but its either in some new strange art style (which might be interesting but not something you would hang on your wall)
or in a classic art style
(which while aesthetically pleasing is nothing revolutionary and therefore often overlooked)

I can't help but notice that there is a distinct lack of bisection and gore. I mean, the guy was ripped in half, blood everywhere, and Tom Pryce was just about fully decapitated.
