Im building a waterfall at the entrance to my fort and i was wondering if I dig the drain directly to the edge of the map will it flow out or stop and cause flooding?

You can't dig all the way to the edge.

HOWEVER, if there is rock, you can smooth the outermost tiles and turn them into fortifications, allowing the water to flow off the map.

I'll take iron shield over some shit like crown or mug anytime of the day.

I've done more tests

Out of 100 round the human won 41 times and the human500str 59. In the second set the human won 23 times and the human500str 77.

Out of 100 round the human won 48 times and the human500agi won 52. In the second set the human won 46 times and the human500agi won 54.

Out of 100 round the human won 53 times and the human500end won 47. In the second set the human won 26 times and the human500end won 74.

These results are strange, is the difference between 1400 endurance and 1500 endurance really that big? The human400end only won 56 times in the second set.

I wouldn't be too surprised. Endurance seems to be really strong since it not only makes it easier to recover from exhaustion, but also increases the point where you suffer exhaustion penalties.
Since exhaustion is basically a death sentence against an unexhausted enemy(especially when stacked with nausea) it basically puts the matches on a timer. If it doesn't end quick enough, the dude with lower endurance loses.

Still, I would expect agility to have a much bigger impact than the others. The guy with the higher agility controls the pace of the fight, and as long as he's not wasting that advantage trying to bite his opponent's teeth out, that usually means victory.


Also, totally unrelated, but I find it fascinating that the size of your heart and lungs actually improves the effect of endurance. If you increase a human's heart and lung size by 20% each, at max endurance they can sprint nonstop for nearly an entire day before they get tired, and all it takes is a few turns of walking to recover. It's like turning the whole race into vampires.

How do I mod the raws to totally remove a creature? I tried it just removing the entry in creatures_standard and now the game just crashes when one apparently tries to enter the map.

Switch to jogging and/or become a night creature and perma-sprint everywhere.

You can only remove the raw when generating a new world. You get crashes otherwise.
If you forgot to delete keas before generating your new world, all you have to do is add the [AQUATIC] tag so they airdrown as soon as they spawn.
Other methods include setting their body temperature to lethal extremes(though this is dangerous since they might set stuff on fire or freeze nearby objects), deleting all their internal organs, or changing their tissues to water and then setting their body temperature to water's boiling point.

Found this somehow one day and since then I've been varying how I apply this template for where things go save the workshop rooms for a majority of my forts. For example I'd use the 'barracks' room for accumulating random stockpiles of stuff instead.
