What is the most car-friendly European country, where you can modify your cars easily and insurance isn't too expensive? I'm surprised at how strict the laws for cars are even in eastern Europe and Russia.

Are you planning to move to Europe? If so, why?

Sweden is quite lenient, but the award goes to Iceland

estonia is fine
body kits are pointless because of snow tho.
Nice gun laws too.
For some reason cars are supercheap as well.

The UK.

Our insurance is quite high but you can do whatever you like to your car.

>reasonable "big engine" tax compared to other European countries
>lenient yearly inspection compared to other Western European countries
>don't have to get mods approved by anyone unless you do racing, and then it's the racing club's job to approve them
>no things like mandatory winter tyres
>lots of small country roads with little to no police presence so you can go over the 60 MPH speed limit if you want to
>hundreds of car clubs
>fairly cheap used cars
>if you find a car from abroad it's simple and cheap to register it

Insurance is the killer though. My mate tried to get insurance for a 1 litre Micra at 17, and because he was 17 and lived in a shit area he was looking at almost £3k insurance. If you're a 18 with a stanced Mustang in Liverpool, good luck.

There are ways of getting it cheaper though. There are specialist brokers who will attempt to insure you if you're a criminal/foreigner/have a classic car/modded car ect. You can also get discounts if you're part of a car club.

Northern Europe - Latvia
Getting a drivers license costs not more than 200-300€
Young people can afford to insure anything (insuring a 3 liter bmw 7 series cost me 180 euros when I had just turned 18)
One of the cheapest fuel prices in EU
Tons of 3/5/7 series bmw beaters costing 500-1000€
Cheap repairs and servicing
There are like 5 speed cameras in the whole country and the penalties are relatively low
Cops can be bribed easily

germany

Estfag here
Us too.
Save for cops bribing, but every driver in the country keeps an eye on them.
+abandoned airfields.

I´de say Sweden.
Lenient laws on modifying
Cheap cars because of lenient import laws and Germany is only hours away. Domestic cars are everywhere and are cheap(Volvo and SAAB).
Low population density and quite sizeable for a euro country->not that much traffic jams and lots of room to drive around. South part doesn´t really have winter, but the northern part is so north that a proper winter takes place.

>tfw no euromeet groups
>tfw only one car club thread but there's only 4 euros in it

there is a /brit/meet every now and then
I think they've done two or three this year

>cars are supercheap as well.

not really

Most just hoarded cheap(ish) shitheaps from central europe (mostly Germany) and tried to make a profit here. Fortunately now there is an abundance of used cars.

they're stolen

Those are shipped to Russia

Went to Iceland This summer. lifted everything everywhere

I don't have much on my phone.

...

Not OP, but what are the chances to adapt in the Baltics if I don't know the language and I'm too handicapped to learn one?

Also what about buying houses/land here? (Rent can go to hell).

estonia here
People know english enough.
And alot speak russian but don't be surprisde if you get looked down on that in all balts.
Buying property depends, there's an apartment downtown in capital that's like 340sq ft/12sq mt which goes for half a mil
You can find cheaper stuff here depending on how shitbox you wanna live like.
Lots of land and houses.
Estonia seems best bet, wages are higher, country is less poor.
I'm sorry baltbros but everyone I've talked to about that have said theirside it's shit.

There probably isn't any laws in somewhere like albania, the downside is that you'll be lucky if they just nick your car and not your kidneys

You won't adapt without learning the local language.
You could awkwardly live here, sure, but it will get old very soon.

I know plenty of russians and euros who get by fine by knowing only english/rus.
Fuck I work with a lot of them.

Just wondering, any good options over the ocean aswell?

>car friendly
>200 sq.ft houses with no garage
>car will fail it's tri-weekly safety inspection for a pinhole sized rust spot.

this
it's nice overall but
>everyone trying to fuck you over. ALWAYS
>high living prices
>lots of land but no everyone descides to stick their shitty houses that all look exactly the same because of "muh heritage" together in a depressing long line.
>the houses that are built together have cardboard walls
>brexit
