I had some success with just Emmylou and Levi Dshift variant fending off in the early game against aggro decks so I'm trying a Spellboost followers variant now to see how good it can be at competing for mid game or maybe even transitioning into a pseudo aggro as plan B, the benching of fiery embrace also helps Merlin get Dshift but if Sarissa ever gets popular then I might have to tech those back in.

That really shouldn't be an issue though.
Now that you don't have to deal with fucking crafty warlocks and you have the amazing dwarf of tempo plays, you should usually be putting down an earth rite the turn in advance. I'm almost never having rites on the field for extended periods of time, so I actually have never had that problem.
Usually when Taboo comes out the board becomes 1 taboo and 4 zombies, near instantly.
