Because the rest of the world aren't badgewhores quite like the US is, so they sell stripper models everywhere else. On the other side of the ocean they're just regular shitboxes that have available high trims, instead of starting at the high trims like they do here for muh luxury. Same with BMW. If they sold the basic ones in the US they wouldn't be coveted as much, and the brand would lose its luxury image, but nobody cares about the image in shitholes.
