To the user asking how to out turn the 109 in the Yak, the answer is always flaps, which can be deployed at below 220kph. However if he's pouncing on you from a higher altitude, he *will* have more energy and he will use it to just high yoyo whenever you try and out turn him.
The only real way to fight well against 109s is fly with a wingman. Because if you're popping the flaps and turning to try and keep his guns off you there is NO WAY you are going to magic your way onto his six from such a low energy state unless he is absolutely terrible.
A wingman is the only real way to reliably clear your six, but that requires teamwork, coordination, and above all - both players to realise that relentlesy pursuing a kill for the sake of your steak is not how you keep each other alive.

No I think it relies entirely on a specialised CADC. I have no idea how it works as a navigation system and I wouldn'the be too surprised if you had to update it's position in flight every so often. Perhaps using radar fixes?
