If Merlin can shunt enough mana from Avalon to restore one command spell per day, maintain the upkeep of hundreds of servants, and stabilize the singularity of Chaldea, then why didn't Merlin just send all that mana to Shirou instead and point swordman to where Goetia was? ey everyone, I’m one of the moderators over at the sub /r/grandorder, and we thought it would be a great idea to give you guys a quick introduction to exactly what Fate/ Grand Order is!

What is Fate/ Grand Order?

Fate/ Grand Order is a Japanese Mobile Game for both Android and IOS that is based on the Fate/ Franchise, using characters from other Fate/ works, such as Fate/ Zero and Fate/ Stay Night. Every servant you see in those shows has been added to the game already, and many favorites (such as fate stay night lancer, and rider) are rather easy to get! Others are a bit harder such as FSN Archer (higher rarity,) and others like Saber are actually rather difficult (highest rarity) to get through rolls unless you’re lucky. Many new servants have been added as well that all have their own personalities and actions that can be seen in their game sprites/art. For a list of all servants, here is a good resource.
. Although proceed at your own risk as it reveals their identities. There’s even been a few collaboration events so far with other Type-Moon works (CMs included) like Kara no Kyoukai
and Prisma Illya

How does the game work?

In Fate/ Grand Order, you play as a master who can summon a team of 6 servants (one being a support) and take on challenges all throughout different periods in history. The combat is a turn based battle system involving skills, card selection for attacks, a system of servant based rock paper scissors, well detailed battle sprites, and it is all voice acted. Here is an example of a fight from one of the events back in September.
Now most events aren’t this difficult, but this is a pretty good showing of how the battles are played.

DUDE is still average

Yeah she can still function in a crit team but you need to generate 30+ stars to consistently crit with her. That and she doesn't really contribute with her deck. Still a neat servant though and I love her NP animation.

The short answer to your question is: Maybe.

Allegedly it will be more like a bridge-over story that leads into FGO 2.0. But since nobody actually knows how it will play out or what will happen in 1.5 or 2.0, it's impossible to say for sure.
