Do you guys want the devs to keep anything from Splatoon 1 in the sequel? Weapons, clothing, maps, etc... Or do you want them to replace the old?

Personally, I want them to replace most of the weapons. New weapons are what really keep the game fresh.

I want them to keep all the weapons and gear, and for them to stay the same even if there is a change to the mechanics, like being able to change subs/specials or getting to choose the skills set on clothing.

I dunno. I think that they should remove some superfluous weapons, but keep the base ones and add more unique ones.
That's kind of like saying they should replace most of the characters in Smash. They're still individually fun to play, after all. That's why people can find one main and stick with it instead of rotating every two days.

it would be nice to keep them, and with the new pants and hairstyle the old wardrobe would be made even better.

I want Splatoon 2's hub to be a beach with a boardwalk and some shops to visit.
A main road with the multiplayer lobby and gear shops, and then some bonus areas just for flavor text and secrets.
The big joke about it being a beach is that they can't swim, so you could see Squids awkwardly trying to surf and fall in the water, and other silly stuff.

The world of Splatoon is so cool that I want them to expand upon it as much as possible.

I think I'd just want the hub to be a bigger city. Instead of a plaza, have it branch out a bit? Maybe make it more cyberpunky. It's also just a hub, so making it too big would just be annoying.

we're getting at least two new shopkeepers (hair, bottoms). is booyah base getting expanded? or is it going to be set somewhere different? i think one of the devs said that the new squids are an entirely different species, so the latter would be interesting

nah, I actually don't blame them for doing what they did with the school girl costume. most people don't want to put a dress on their male character. having it auto change based on gender just makes it easier.

I want Splatfests to be Squid Sisters vs DJ Octavio
The style would be the same, the Squid Sisters will pick which one of the two topics to side with, and Octavio will pick the other, correct, side

It'd be cool to have some kind of persistent war going on. Inklings vs Octarians would be sweet, but if they got lazy and just let us play as Inklings again, it'd be an interesting layer of storytelling that some Inklings are defectors or Octoling sympathizers.
