Also if youre a noob and are looking for a car in your area but don't know what to look for, post your local craigslist, budget and whatever else you want and I'll post some listings for you.
I just bought a 2004 BMW 525i with 133k miles in pristine condition. Everything works fine and there isn't even anything worn down. Drives and handles great and all is nice and tight. Brand new LED aftermarket headlights make it look like a new car. Picked it up for $5900.
My god friend, I'd buy that cash now if it wasn't so far. :c
Gabriel Brown
I'd buy it now if I had cash. Period. I love Plymouth styling.
Sebastian Kelly
I do live by a mopar or no car philosophy. but I have an autistic passion for all auto. Anyways. it would probably be a shitty d.d but would be fun. Save moar for opportunities like this friend
Landon Green
This is a real piece of Americana.
John Adams
That actually isn't that bad of a deal. You're pretty much fucked though if you have engine issues
You're like that adorable little retard that wears oven mitts all the time.
Benjamin Walker
08640 area code. Will settle for the 3k civic meme. Seriously a good old civic/accord will be perfect since i got tires n random parts to fix her up. Open to other cars too.
Bentley Long
Owned an E60 M5, was good to me besides SMG clutch at 30k miles or so (you don't have to worry about this) and some VANOS solenoid cleaning done under warranty.
I mean, at that mileage and age you have an enormous potential for problems... It should have the N52 engine since it's pre-07, so no injector problems to worry about but I think electrical stuff should be your main concern.
I think you did alright at that price, but I don't know if that's really the best car you could've gotten for the money.
been browsing import sites. can get this fucker bought and shipped to the west coast for $1000. think i could beat that dent out?
Andrew Reyes
Sorry I have pride in my ride, friend. :D
Christopher Gomez
I've resolved myself to never own any vehicle that was made after the 80's. Though I'd be incredibly hard-pressed to turn down any of the modern muscle, the c7 just looks so raw.
Andrew Hughes
Nigga I said post your local craigslist not your area code, anyway I assumed it was south jersey.
This first car is probably your best bet. its the cleanest out of all of the cars I found. They are all manual transmission.
If that's "your" car go for it friend. it doesn't have a hemi, but that's okay. d;
Being serious tho, modern muscle is cool too. But have you ever considered a resto mod? If your reasonings for getting modern technology and all, there's always that option . Especially for Chevy.
up to $4,000 but I'd like to spend a little less I'm looking to get something 4x4 because I'll be living in a very icy and hilly area and will need to cross the cascades multiple times in the winter.
I'm close to canada so I'm thinking of possibly buyimg one from there but I'm not sure the process for importing. vancouver.craigslist.ca/search/rds/cta
Thoughts? Also what should I offer? Thinking $1700
Nathaniel Brooks
If I was going to restomod (probably will when I get a 1970 duster one day) I'd only want to change the mechanical stuff, keep all the cosmetics close to stock
Ian Thompson
That is, in my opinion, the best way to do it friend
I'm considering above or at least similar to it, can't tell if it's cheaper or not to buy a manual. Don't know how to drive one so I'd have to get my dad to test drive and teach me.
Since the facelift was on 2007, this should mean that this mazda is not any more rust-prone than any other japanese econobox, right?
the guys I race with out in san marcos require a hardtop because someone flipped a car once. otherwise I would rally miata all day. Maybe like a Fa/Fb rx7....
Jason Wright
Cool, sounds good f a m s. Curious as to what you'd recommend as I usually look at just certain makes.
Budget: $10-13k. Automatic as I can't into Manuel. Type: Sedan/Coupe/Hatch/Compact I'm looking for something with a nice design, that looks good, possibly sporty but not TOO sporty, ya know? Not super factory rice, either. Something reliable. A DD. T b h I don't drive everyday and will probably never do 15k miles/year, hell might not even be 10.
>Car friend is talking to me about joining the car scene >I can roll with them and his squad he says >Him and all his friends drive subaru's >Rumblesquad stickers everywhere >Finally think I might break and join them >They ask me what car I want >Tell them I would get a Pontiac Trans Am WS6 >Their faces when >Start telling me how awesome Subaru's are >Still dead set on the WS6 >Really only talk to first friend afterwards Well fuck those guys too
Nathan Martinez
OP here. so you wont an automatic boring shitbox? thats not hard to find.
when you decide to stop being a weenie and learn how to drive manual
>Car friend is talking to me about joining the car scene >I can roll with them and his squad he says
The level of corniness.... you and you friend are talking as if the "car scene" is a real thing.
lel. I bet they all enjoy ALL the fast and furious movies.
Joshua Harris
Get the ws6 senpai, and smoke the Subaru's. Show em how muscle beats minute rice.
James Rogers
minneapolis.craigslist.org/search/cta Under 6k, preferably 4x4 or AWD, 4 door car or an SUV of some sort. Just need something bigger than my current car that can handle snow.
Ryder Myers
bham.craigslist.org/cto/5940563352.html >gee bob, what's a good engine to replace the horribly unreliable hunk of shit in my fiero? >uhhh I dunno how about the reliable v8 knows as the NORTHSTAR
Joseph Davis
I bought a mitsubichi galant, I'm not very Veeky Forums, i just needed something to drive back and forth to work windshield needs to be replaced dash up where the vents are is broken in a number of places 245k miles $700 drove it around, wasnt too bad. looks good on the outside and other than the fucked dash it looks good inside to. However it vibrated when idling in drive I also have no mechanic friends or family to teach me how to into Veeky Forums drove it ~45 minutes without an issue other than the stated. check engine light pops on a few days later O'reilly ran the code for me, was a catalytic converter I'm worried
Need a work truck badly, what do you guys think? I've heard fords I6s are super tough.
Jordan Sanders
help me find something...
>need car for driving my grandmother to doctors, friends, shopping, etc... must be easy to get in and out of (the previous car was a Honda Odyssey wagon) >also if rear seats are folded down I want enough space to put in two mountain bikes, without having to remove their wheels >has to fit in an ordinary home garage (no suburbans) >car must have air bags, abs, and not be a huge insurance risk >less than twenty years old, price less then $7K
hit him with a $9000 cash offer when he says no offer 10000 and not a penny more
its got a 16g turbo in it and 70k normie miles that thing is ready to blow
Benjamin Brown
Hell yeah dude, what part are you from?
Caleb Evans
Those engines are tough. $2000 might be a little steep since it's so rough, but you're not being beaten if you can't talk him down a bit.
>mfw another TN bro
Jayden Jenkins
take a look at some of those 90's Rangers
Bentley Robinson
pls no bully
Carter Nelson
Is This a good buy? >1985 Camaro >305 Small Block >Motor and front end rebuilt >2500
Samuel Smith
Probably not for a Dd, friend. It's looks like its track set up tho. and at that price I'm willing to bet it's shit, sadly. Check If itll pass your states inspection
give those a look. i would recommend looking at some of the nissan D21's as well. its the poor beaners choice of conveyance so it should fit a college students life as well.
i have very little mechanical experience.I could, once i get a mechanic to give me a list of things that need to be done to the car, go through it and start work, though will need to teach myself Honestly i'm pleasantly surprised with the way it drives, my only car experience is a tauras, a mustang, and a cavalier, so the galant is a surprising change to me. I'm considering investing a bit of money into this. Not sure how Veeky Forums feels about them
