I'm interested in blades of mercy and rakuyo, but they seem to have arc scaling on top of the skill scaling.
what ratio of skill:arc maximizes damage?

I found BLB really hard in cursed depth 5 dungeons. Harder than undead giant that you can easily hit and run.

Ignore the ARC scaling in its entirety. It's worthless for the BoM, BB, and the Amy Arm.

No, skill builds use guns for parrying and visceral. Which is why you might want to get arc to 18 for augur to parry 2H.

I'm 99% sure you can. The timing is weird as shit but micolash has partied me successfully a few times I've gotten greedy even on current patch

arcane is useless even if you use high end gems (abyssal colds) and you can't enchant them with papers

Of course you can, but the startup and recovery are terrible, at best you can visceral someone one dash away and you have to anticipate his attack 2 seconds before (easy PvE). Also backstabs.

Evelyn is better than hunter pistol at 22 blt and above, and better than piercing rifle at 40 blt and above

Even a 50 blt evelyn is mostly supplementary, so anything less is a waste imo, but it really depends how hard you want to min-max

I think levelling stamina too high is degenerate, but blades of mercy are a fantastic pressure weapon so pumping endurance is a-okay

It's base bloodtinge damage is higher than evelyn til you hit 40 blt, and is pretty solid on a BSB beast gem 28.7% + 7.3 flat

I use it during chalice dungeons when kiting faggot enemies like Mad Ones, Ayys etc. and also use it when invading gank squads

Evelyn is obviously the main-stay of a bloodtinge build, but every gun has a use to it, some are just more circumstantial than others

Also hunter tools don't cap in damage, so while your arcane weapons/gems will stop at 50, your Call Beyond won't, so the biggest results after 50 will be to hit 99. It's sort of an ''all or nothing'' mentality. If you're tempted to go to 60 ARC, you'd be better off going 10 more endurance etc.

Any weapon will do fine in PvE as long as you're confortable with the moveset. Although it's usually best to have a weapon with at least good range and one that is fast.
