Fucking sucks when he moves his leg in the middle of an attack and he's too tall for you to at least hit his belly.

yeah. in past games load up was a utility skill for unlocking the 4th charge, but now that power shot is so important and adept can skip straight to a level 4 power shot, it has become a dps skill

There are many monsters where I really don't mind, or even enjoy, fighting a gold crown sized one. Gold crown zinogre is fun, the Rath family doesn't get much harder when gold crowned. But fuck molten tiggy and deviljho.

I'm a stubborn fuck so I try to only hit his head when playing hammer, and I haven't found larger sized jhos to be much more difficult in that regard with a hammer. But for some reason I really struggled with gold crowned size lagia, his head was somehow just too high most of the time.

looks like the combat has some weight and you commit to attacks in a similar fashion as MH.

The humans look like mongs but hopefully its like MH in that you will never see your character's head after the first couple hours.

All games have this relative to the speed and pace of their respective gameplay. Even FPS games with some slower reload weapons.

if any frontierfags are on, can you recommend a good gou armor to start working on for a fresh HR100?
Diorex looks good but i'm not sure if i should be tackling him yet. frontier progression is weird.

I personally used Zeru from Gou to G.
But each one has their own specialty, like Diorex giving out Absolute Defense.

Going from the normal ranks to Gou is a huge jump overall though, akin to the older rank changes where everything hurts and hunts feel like they take too long.

Diorex can be a tough fight if you can't easily break the armor and get to the squishy grey bits within so it's not the best starter I'd say.

i've already killed a few gou monsters, it hasn't been too bad. maybe i'm just used to the rank jump since i was playing FU before frontier.

i'm mainly just really feeling my outdated as fuck lowrank armor and looking for anything with some offense and maybe evasion.
