Third for humans won't need to ride in a fighter jet to fly combat missions in the blue sky in the future

ac2 looks pretty good on pcsxr with pgxp

In case anyone's interested, here's the guide/settings I used to set it up. It's a bit of a hassle, but worth it.

it blows my fucking mind that someone wrote a dll that hooks into Pete's ogl plugin. That's a closed source plugin that hasn't been updated since 2008. That is some feat of autism.

>164351757 So what happens when someone enters their airspace unannounced in the middle of the night? Then again, I don't think Austrian airspace borders any non-EU/NATO countries, but I suck at geography.
Thomas Martin
Have you found out yet what borders really mean, and what their volition truly is yet, /aceg/?

After playing ac3 some more I honestly have pretty mixed feelings about it. It reminds me a lot of Metal Gear Solid, where the gameplay is dated and awkward at times, but the game overall is worth playing because it's such an innovative story for its time. It's fascinating seeing the same conflict through 4 different angles. The themes of the story are interesting as well.
That said parts of the gameplay are infuriating. The missile behavior seems completely random. I honestly don't understand how missiles miss sometimes and how they hit at others. It seems completely random even though I'm sure there are rules that make sense, but the game makes no attempt to explain how it works, not through gameplay and not through an actual textual explanation. The awkward pitch/roll behavior makes this even worse, as dodging missiles now involves fighting the controls to juke out of the way.
In any case I really wish more games did this - shorter 'case studies' of conflicts allowing you to play from all sides. It's really quite cool, and it lets you see nuances in the conflict you wouldn't otherwise.
Based on my experience with the US version, missiles seem to track better if fired just within their maximum lock on range. Close range shots overshoot, because the missiles are TOO good at trying to intercept the bogey based on their flight path.
Sebastian Baker
No seriously, how do I fight that humming piece of shit butterfly faggot? If I ain't max range SAAM spamming the lead plane, I'll get skewered by those fucking lasers
This is why we need V2.
Cooper Bennett
Use the Morgan. It pierces all
Noah Jackson
To be honest with you, most of the time when the Butterfly Master spawns in, I pretty much just count the mission as over right then, because it takes so long to kill, and you're not always with players who know what they're doing.
Kevin Bennett
>boot up Infinity >New Year's message as usual >list 5 stocked fuel as rewards >receive 4
Feels like they don't even care at this point anymore
A least got another New Year Nugget emblem from a silly challenge
Jacob Jones
They haven't cared since the skilled pilot medal update
Mason Cox
Why do some countries only accept military academy graduates as fighter pilot candidates while others accept graduates from civilian colleges (e.g.: the U.S. Military OCS/OTS route)?
Julian Long
>notification says 5 fuel >get 4 >store now filled up with two year old happy new year 2015 shit >bamco absolutely refuses to add any rare drop planes to the mix, meaning that anyone who's been playing for more than a month has every single fucking plane on the list >no more cool skin challenges >skin challenges recycled, when, again, lots of people already have them >only new challenges are 'I love ----', which are boring as fuck to do >skilled pilot medal system still as autistic as ever, anyone who doesn't have the infinite time and money to put into this game gets jackshit
This is why I don't play AC:I anymore, once you get past the initial F2P jew tactics, (i.e. the little crumbs of progress the game gives you to persuade you that you aren't completely wasting your time) this game is a complete shitshow.

There are some moments though.
>last week, 6p Adriatic >plane selection screen, buddies in A-10s (Oruma and Area 88) >"hell, why not" >pick vanilla A-10, buddies keep theirs >"the perfect formation!" >shoot down emergency F-22 with sheer BRRRRT
Lost anyway, but hell if that wasn't damn fun.

I wonder if SlyCooperFan1 ever visit /aceg/

It all makes sense

You don't have to actually cut the chatter, guys

Is Thunderhead tsuntsun?
Connor Morgan
Of course, you've seen the way he picks on Chopper and ONLY Choppera
Christian Kelly
The same thing happened to the Swiss.
French mirages escorting a hijacked plane had to fly all the way to geneva because they had no planes available before business hours.
Asher Price
And afterwards the left complained that the air force was incapable despite the fact that they were the ones voting against any new aircraft and money.
That shit still gets me mad.

The moment during your Ace Combat 5 playthrough and Briefing 2 comes on.
Also I just tried to land after Solitaire, instead of going for the runway I went for the Kestrel. Exploded as soon as the aircraft made contact with the flight deck.
Ryder Baker
Briefing 2 is great. Too great for briefing music.
Wyatt Ross
Briefing 2 is great because it gives that vibe of 'Shit's real now, but we know what we have to do'

If you own a ps4, it's included in the upcoming Omega Collection. I liked it a lot. It's extremely stylish, very gritty looking and some of the tracks, Sol and Altima for example have some somply amazing views. Yes, that is a track with no walls.
That it is famicom.
Jace Reed
>tfw wanted an NGage as a kid >tfw never got one Did they ever even release games for it?
Luke Scott
They actually did, more than for the Vita at least.
Mason Mitchell
I also wish the Vita didn't bomb.
Or at least I hope it gets cracked like the PSP so it can eventually replace it.
Jaxson Baker
>get all endings aside from the two neucom ones because I don't know how to save Fi and Rena autistcally shoots her down after a while >the game doesn't let Dision win in the Ouroboros scenario
lmao, is that because Simon has a murderboner for him and won't allow the possibility of Dision being content?
Blake Gutierrez
You shoot the Delphinus or whatever next to the airliner to get on the Neucom track.
Aaron Morris
All right, thanks. That's a bit dumb though, if anything you should be shooting down Rena's plane.
Elijah Rogers
Yeah I said the same a while ago, but I guess it counts as betrayal or something to shoot that guy.

Good god I love AC5 so much.
I love all of the holy trilogy, but AC5 is just special somehow. It's weird because I started with 4, but AC5 is the one I always go back to, even a decade later. I can play through the whole game in an afternoon, and I still have a blast doing it.
Leo Baker
Yeah, especially around 1:20 when the music reflects that the stakes are really high now.
Kevin Flores
But what if it's shit.
Alexander Adams
Pic-related it's quite tragic if they were actually posing in the sunlight
Aiden Taylor
Do you ever have that really gutted feeling when you've been playing AC for years, do missions on Ace with your aircraft of choice, no problem, then one day you do something stupid like crash into a building or get shot down by some SAM or something?
I hate that. I just did Aces and the SOLG, and died on both missions due to stupid mistakes. Really ruined the end of the playthrough.
Gavin Gutierrez
That happened to my last playthrough a couple weeks ago. Kicked ass through the whole game on Ace with my Yellow 13 Su-37, and then got to mission 16A, and suddenly just completely sucked. Played the mission probably 7 or 8 times, and every time kept doing dumb shit like looking around when flying down and crashing into the ground.
