It depends on who I am up against.
In higher ratings I tend to meet the same people a lot and those often dive me hard so I value the increase in defensive stats over the damage that 3 challenger pieces offer, when I expect to get dived hard.

Orbs are going back up on NA, up to 3k now. They were like 2k a few days ago. If you can run 4m foundry, you should be spamming it for orbs.

That comes out to 77g an hour, which is fucking dogshit when you consider the fact that you can make that much at SSP without too much required, or the fact that 77g an hour is not even minimum wage.

You're also getting unsealed orbs, belts, and honorary ornaments. I'm not saying it's better than SSP, but you certainly won't be farming SSP and buying your forging orbs with the profits at these prices.

I really fucking hate farming Foundry, it's not fun. Turtle 24 is fun because I have like 20 other people to talk to. If I want gold, I'm clocking in overtime instead of farming Foundry praying for an orb drop.

Unsealed orbs are nice, but I just consider them a bonus along with the belts since being at Stage 7 doesn't boost my DPS too much (Frost Palm..)

You still need to get to at least Stage 10 to upgrade to Chokma. Then you also have to have enough gold to outbid people for BT stuff. Farming Foundry (and Naryu Sanc coming up) will allow you to both get the mats and the gold you need to be ready for BT.

My RNG with challenger pieces is horrible though.

The main appeal of the challenger pieces is the setbonus. I do value the cooldown reduction on my escape more than I do value the critical defense (which has huge diminishing returns) from 3 challenger pieces, if I am in a situation where I expect to have multiple enemy players chasing me around the objectives.

If that happens, I just need to survive somehow. The biggest threats for me are grabs and BM HM Z. If I need to tab any of those then I am forced to play extremely carefull untill I have the skills available to survive somehow.
And if multiple players are chasing me, I usually will not end up doing a significant amount of damage anyways.
I do use challenger setups for PVP too but I'd say that I use the 8 piece legendary setup at least as often as I use the challenger mix.

Fair enough, but nothing is as effective as getting lucky with market swings. People who bought a few thousand Evolved Stones (after looking at TW/JP progression) hit the jackpot.

When we mean farm, we mean farming effectively. If you're getting one 500PP box per mining phase, that's not really farming. Any retard can 'farm' SSP.

Mushin/OMC will have no problem. We do turtle twice a week and let everyone in. Might be a little tough with BT but I'm confident we'll do fine. Hopefully they can just merge all the servers into a mega cluster so we can get Jiwan in with us.
