Until 2004 they all agreed to limit factory output to 280ps/276hp across all makes and models. Some were built so it was stupid easy to make them make a shitton more power like the R34 GT-R, though.

I'm aware of the gentleman's agreement - I own a JDM vehicle as well. To my understanding, many companies including Subaru covertly went over these limits and only advertised as such. What is your car's true power?

as far as I know only esthetically, and some minor details in the interior, for example in my nc1 I have FOUR cup holders, in the nc2 and nc3 there are only 2 in the doors
also, i believe that the latest models of ncs came with more options in the steering wheel (more than volume control)
