HM Z + flurry is better for that, kfm loses way too much damage using daze comet.

HM 1, 2, 4, and LMB are all good. The only ones that I would say are must haves are 1 and 2. Z has its uses like I said above.

Comet strike gets an extra ~75% damage with HM. Tiger strike is roughly 33%. Counter gets a much better iframe after successful skill use.

For must haves I meant 1, 2, and 4.

You can survive without them but you won't be reaching your max potential untill you have them.

HM 1 = Lost Hongmoon Secret Technique Vol 2, ch1 + ch2 (Yeti4/Necro4 books)

HM 2 = Asura Ember (Sogun's Lament 4m) + Frozen Lamentation Stone (120 Freezing Orbs from Cold Storage) to make the Chilling Flame Elixir

HM 4 = BSH Skill Book + a few things from a questline. It's been awhile, but you might need to do Comet Strike Training Secret achievement.

HMZ = Offal of Silence (Masts), Offal of Darkness (Gloomdross), and Offal of Luminance (Twisted Grimhorn for Infernal Orbs)

HM LMB requires multiple items. Hongmoon Pellet is clan crafting. I believe the other 5 items can be farmed in Skypetal, but the drop rates are awful. You'll likely get them from events or DC boxes.

There's also the Zen Bean (Stage 4) version of Comet which is pointless for the most part. Hongmoon Secret Technique Vol 1 unlocks S3 Counter which isn't needed. Hongmoon Secret Technique Vol 3 unlocks S3 of Tiger Strike, also useless.
