Driving shoes

I recently started driving with five-toe shoes on due to my laziness of changing them at the gym, and holy shit it is amazing. What are your thoughts?

Fuck shoes.
I live in LA, and barefoot is the way to go.

Smaller contact shoe helps. Technically almost barefoot driving would be optimal. Never tried five toed shoes, but they look comfy as fuck. A shame that in my country they are considered woman's clothing.

I recently started driving in leather shoes since I'm working in quality management and everybody is wearing suits, and holy shit it sucks finding pressure points in those things

I have an older pair of New Balance Minimus shoes that I like to wear when I go on long drives. They are similar, but still look more like something a normal person would wear.

Five Fingers makes me think someone wants to show me his vaping rig.

only bought these shoes because of takumi and it was the best decision of my life. good for keeping Veeky Forums too and being a lucky guy

+1
Barefoot is comfy as fuck

when I wear flipflops I drive barefoot
Skeletoes are disgusting, but seeing that you're considering them you probably dont care how you look

I want some of these so badly but they're fucking 160$.

I thought takumi wears new balance and Nike dunks

Fuck takumis and buy real racing shoes

Simpson racing master race has entered the thread

Mine but I only bother with them for trackdays.

nigga get on ebay i got em for $110 aus dollarydoos

I drive with sandles by growing up in a trailer park filled with golf carts. Get on my level.

>five-toe shoes
How do these feel? They look awkward as fuck.

I wear these nike SB ultralight because the let you feel the pedals as well as give you the support that your feet need. Basically any skateboarding shoes or similar will be excellent for driving because they are designed for transmitting the feel of what is underneath the shoe.

Boost shoes for max comfy

So do you guys put on a special pair of shoes just to drive or something?

When I just go for a drive for the sake of it, or when I have to drive longer distances, yes

I honestly use the thickest shoes I own, mostly Adidas. My explanation is, that they have really soft soles. Things like pumps and vans have those extremely solid bottom that is really uneven compared to your foot profile, whereas with a thick soft sole, you have your entire foot on a flat surface, which allows the clutch to feel attached to you.

I've always preferred to drive my sticks Barefoot. In my wagon the pedals are so close, I heel-toe with my pinkie toe. It's hilariously amazing.
I'll get a picture later if the thread is still up, it's too damn cold for this shit right now.

I've driven barefoot once, when my shoes got fucking soaked during a very bad downpour and I had to take them off when I got to the car. Driving barefoot was okay.

Remember: Big. Toe.

They're very comfortable and grip very well when working out, and when driving you can feel the pressure points of each pedal really well.

What's wrong with Chuck T's ?

Has anybody tried any of Goodyears shoes? They seem like they would be pretty gud.

The ori and groove seen interesting

I might buy some for fun

Jeses christ

Can't be any worse than driving a manual with big steel toe boots on. Jesus christ that shit is miserable.

I wear new balance trail walking laceless shoes. They're comfy, and I don't need to feel the pedal very much on my '79 T/A 'cause it's so stiff.

You again?
You posted the same picture last time we had this thread.
I'd love to hear what you think is so disgusting about driving barefoot.

Not him, but gee whiz, maybe you're right, I can't think of a single thing disgusting about walking outside barefoot, using pedals that have been used by people with shoes on their feet, shoes that might have poop or blood or trash juice or piss on their bottoms, now grinding off onto the soles of your own feet. Nope, nothing comes to mind.

>New Balance Minimus
I got a pair of those too.

I drive with puma ferrari models, they're allright (small sole)and not that expensive. Gor mine for $60

>walking outside barefoot
Who said anything about walking outside barefoot?

>using pedals that have been used by people with shoes on their feet
No one but me drives my car.

Any other points you want to make?
Or is your post solely based on the idea of letting random crackheads with bleeding feet drive your car?
Maybe that flies where you're from, but I'm not into that shit.

Is there any thin driving shoe that look good for wide feet?

he does
unfortunately it seems like nowadays the classic-style new balance are only worn by hipsters with dirty ankles

faggot

Lol. You need to harden up. I rarely wear shoes and I live in the city, driving barefoot is one of life's greatest pleasures.

They're comfy but I think ugly as sin. But fuck it I might have to do it

Sure is a good thing bacteria don't migrate. You know, like off of shoes, your own or passengers. Unless you're going to tell me you've got no friends/family/coworkers/neighbors and you only wear the shoes you put in your car indoors and keep disposable shoe covers around when you've got to walk around a car park or a sidewalk or across a street. In which casr, congrats on the crippling OCD and life of solitude.

>Sure is a good thing bacteria don't migrate
Lol.
Wait, who were you calling OCD?
If you're that worried about evil bacteria jumping from your floor mats up to your pedals, you should probably just kill yourself now.
Let me guess, you wear latex gloves when you drive, so that the bacteria you touch doesn't migrate onto your steering column?

They don't sell racing shoes where I live, got this with discount and they do the job. Only bad thing is the ferrari logo but I can simply ignore it.

tbf boost shoes for maximum comfy for literally anything.

I originally bought steel toe boots for work and they were so comfortably I stopped wearing anything other than my vibrams, coincidentally. With the vibrams I can control the gas just by flexing my big toe. With my boots I have no problems either, just a little heavier on the gas because of how thick the soles are. Having my toes immune to stubbing and being able to set heavy things on top of them is a bonus, and while they're big they're surprisingly not clunky at all.

Plus they are good for kicking jews.

Got deez too for driving
Fire red tigers

Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66s

I'm looking for a pair of slip on a that are as narrow as possible for my fat feet. I work kn Healthcare and really don't wanna wear me work shoes into my car being i step in piss/shit/blood/etc daily. My regular shoes are wide as fuck anyways and I clip the pedals as a I work the clutch

No, bad. The Jews here are nicer than most other people.

Adidas sambas all day eery day

>Tfw phone poster and wearing my boots so no pic

That's exactly the kind of thing an OCD person would type. Detailed explanations of why they wear gloves and stuff. I just used basic knowledge of bacteria to cajole you into revealing your power level, and you filled in the rest.

Thanks for playing.

>basic knowledge of bacteria
It only gets better.
Keep going.

Do you really have disposable shoe covers?
because I could use something like this i walk through a lot of dogshit

havent driven with 574s, currently comfy with my 501s

>barefoot with gross-ass hard pedals
How do you people do it?

>hard pedals
Well, you probably would have to do it before your pedicure.
Bitch.

Ok, how do I describe it? Driven barefoot a few times, it's never felt right. Feet don't seem to grip the pedals in the way a shoe does, can't put pressure in them the way I want, etc.

I look at it the opposite.
Shoes stop me from fine tuning the pressure I put to the pedals, especially the gas. It's like there's something blocky in my way that always makes the pressure too much or too little.

I remember seeing a worker somewhere who had them on. Can't remember where, but they put a box down and stick their foot in, and when they pull it out they got a little cover on their shoes. Like a hospital hairnet thing, but for feet, stuck in a big kleenex box.

these one will make sure you can rotate your heels as required.

>round heel tip ftw

Someone identify God Foot's shoes pls

Adidas Gazelle

Lol fucking retard can't adjust your feet movements with shoes on.

>fucking retard

Honestly I love driving in my toms

I enjoy having pinky toes.

And I enjoy thick rails.
What's your point?

No, I bought them cause I like cars AND I'm gay as fuck

Metal pedals are no problem. But then again your average American seems to have issues walking on anything but polished floors. Which kind of answers a lot of the questions about why they wear their shoes in the house or seeing porn in which the actors could be stark naked if it weren't for their sneakers.

Those aggressive tractor pedals with 4 spikes per square inch can hurt though

>they wear their shoes in the house
Fuck that noise. I never do that shit.

>porn in which the actors could be stark naked if it weren't for their sneakers
>sneakers
That's just terrible.
But the girls should keep spikes on because it looks good.

Accidentally wore my crocks "my taking out the trash shoes" when I drove my car one day. Honestly the best shoes for casual heal toeing and was able to feel peddle vibration that I didn't know existed. Crocks ftw

>Check thread
>Shit taste as usual Veeky Forums
Its like its babies first driving shoes thread.

Is that rod up your ass uncomfortable when you sit down, or have you gotten used to it by now?

Shoot all people with five-toe shoes. There is no fucking point you faggots. No one wants to know you have toes.

>Generic insult
Here's your (you). Use it and get some shoes that doesn't show what a giant man-child you are.

>owns pictures of his shoes
>brags about his shoes on a Cambodian pottery forum

Lol
look at the ugly ass clodhoppers you posted

The five-toed shoes don't give protection to the toes if something drops on them that's for sure. I wonder what would happen if one of those small appendages got snagged into something and pinched off?

It's a fairly common opinion that people who wear flashy or unique stuff to the gym are doing their "look at me" shtick.

Yea, then we can step on all the discarded heroine and crack deliveries.

>tfw wear size 14 wide and can't find any good looking shoes

>discarded heroine and crack deliveries.
>keeps this kind of shit on his floor mats
That's pretty vial, user

...

>It's a fairly common opinion that people who wear flashy or unique stuff to the gym are doing their "look at me" shtick.

This is true, but the five toe shoes are a legit option for people looking to deadlift who aren't allowed to do it in socks, and for whatever reason don't like Converse shoes.

Lifting shoes, the gaudy ones with the extra bit of heel and no squishy bits, also actually help with squats. Especially if you have flexibility issues. They also help manlets touch the ground when benching.

Knee wraps/sleeves also help if you feel like cheating, or have knee issues because you never actually learned proper form on squats.

Carrying chalk around with you also makes you look like a tool, but if you sweat a lot and don't feel like dropping 3 plates on your chest when benching, it's useful stuff.

However, if you lift in a unitard or those strange sort of misshapen tank tops, there's no excuse for you.

im a Puma Drift Cat kek. I have a half dozen different pairs and have been in love with them since the original Drift Cat 1's (which I still watch for online and find on occasion)

i work in a machine shop and i have to wear steel toe shoes i envy you

True

>Carrying chalk around with you also makes you look like a tool,
You can use antiperspirant products on hands to keep them dry. I've seen 5 different products sold online with some hyped up to the max (and inflated price too). They're widely used by sports athlethes. I'm tempted to try it this summer since I don't like feeling a sticky steering wheel which then makes me clean it every day.

I mentioned it in this thread since gym's were mentioned. My previous solution to damp hands while driving was to use those unpadded Gold's Gym branded gloves sold at walmart. Definitely not just good for use at the gym.
