What are some good history books for the following subjects:
Viking culture
Roman Culture (and cultures around the area, like the etruscans)
WWI & II
Cold war
Wanna research more on history.
Also, an interesting period to research about?

Rites of Spring is a good book on WWI.
>Cold War
Any particular aspects of the Cold War or literally anything?
I think he's mad that you're using Viking interchangeably with Meeieval Scandinavian. The Vikigns were a specific caste or group of people if anything.
Anything. I dont know much about the era.
Well see, these are the kind of things id like to know
Not really
I, Claudius
Great 'Autobiography' of Claudius Caesar, by Robert Frost.
I dont know 100% its accuracy, but as far as I know its pretty good in getting things right.
Cool glimpse of Roman culture, and great book.
I'm no expert in Roman culture, but I'm pretty sure that I, Claudius is a fictional novel, and has no actual historical value.

that "roman empire" bib is actually about the military of the Roman Empire, it needs a rename
This is supposed to be "Roman Army":

Could it be that jonstond2, our based collector of bibliographies mixed them up?
Nah, it's just the way the bibs are organised by Oxford
The bib is called "Roman Empire", but it's part of Oxford's military history section
Any place where I can download these?
Paperbacks are not availible in my region, they also seem to run for hundreds of dollars, and I cant find any ebook version, amazon does not have them on ebook. Only from shady scam sites that want my credit card info despite saying theyre 100% free
its impossible to find these things online
The book S.P.Q.R is a pretty good book by Mary Beard. Covers the history of Rome from the founding myths of the city all the way to Caracalla.
Its not terribly historically innacurate
Well, personally, I've always been intrigued by US-Latin American relations/interventions during the Cold War. Inevitable Revolutions by Walter LaFeber is probably the best book on Central America in a Cold War context.

Not needed, too recent, just ask your grandparents.
