OP, if your credit isn't good, don't buy it. If you can't get an interest rate around 2.5%, it's not worth it.

Now, stretch the finance term to as long as possible with as low of a down payment as possible. I'd say $20k down is about average, if you have perfect credit you can get it even less if you find the right bank.

If you get lucky with your investments, which is bound to happen, you will even out pace 4% and receive more. On average, the stock market usually returns around 7%.
