People who do well for themselves aren't totally imaginary... a six figure salary is not rare at all these days.

6% of people really isn't that rare. Depends where you live though, concentration is a lot higher in some major cities.

Currently the rate is 25% in this thread which is a little unbelievable considering how much of Veeky Forums are neets, students and unqualified jobbers. Veeky Forums isn't the miraculuously successful normie board you wish it were.

It will get better bro. I didn't even get to buy my first car until I finished university, and I owned 2 different shitboxes (not at the same time) for 5 years before landing a real job and buying a nice vehicle.

It will get better bruh. How old are you?

He was trying to be polite by saying cheap niggers don't tip.

Do you find young people tip generously? My ex-gf worked as a waitress and she said young people were 10x more likely to leave a generous tip than older/middle-aged people. Boomers were always grouchy and bitched and moaned about everything.

Lol

There's a little something called statistical significance. The people here posting about their salary and car are probably more likely to be people bragging I would also imagine.

i have 2 cars, no job and less than $1k in my bank account

that being said I have cash building up in an insurance policy thanks to my dad.

I have 18 hundred, a dying car, but I have a part time job paying 320 a month.

That's rough! What did you study?

I'm making $48k CAD/yr on an internship and I don't even have my degree yet...

2009 CR-V, $10k last I checked

Do you tow with the Flex? My mom has the regular one, and my dad wants to tow an ATV with it. The manual doesn't say anything. To my knowledge the EcoBoost has a tranny cooler and Ford permits it to tow like 2 tons

not the guy you're replying to but I have a friend that tows snowmobiles with a base model Flex, it doesn't seem to have any issues with it.

Thank you very very much. My dad is about to retire, and I felt a little bad when my mom chose a Flex, cause he wanted like, a half ton pickup I think. Personally for his needs I think the Flex is better then.

Yeah, I tow with my flex, though the Expedition is the primary tow vehicle. The Flex mostly moves the empty trailer around.

I did pull ~4200# about 300 miles. It did alright. My next project for the Flex is some work on the transmission and PTU, so that I can get the tow capacity up to about 5500# and not break stuff.

I get 2k a year part time (student) but I'm expecting 3-5k this summer.

$200 aw11 and just as much in parts and other little things.

I should say tools not parts

you can't just magically increase the towing capacity of a vehicle. the GVWR is government mandated and if for whatever reason you get yourself caught over capacity they're not just going to let it slide because you 'upgraded' it.

When one breaks, I fix the other one. The buick is worth so little because it's been in multiple minor-ish accidents, and currently has no grille or properly fitting hood and fenders.

fuck, man. I thought that was a mustang before expanding the image, lol

True, however you can file an amended weight with the DMV. Provided it doesn't put you over the unlicensed limit and you pass an inspection, you're fine.

Not that most people actually do that, but it can be done.

Once I get my math degree I'll be making $300k/yr starting working any job I want. Will probably continue driving the civic.

No, I got that part lol. It's varied, honestly. You never really know what you're gonna get. For sure latinos/blacks rarely tip and if they do it's really bad but don't get me wrong I've had good examples give me great tip. The worst customer is an angry person. I don't mind really picky people, as long as they're communicative it makes everyone's lives better.
