Baby''s first BMW

Was looking around for a RWD car for my secondary and came across this 2004 330i.
Thoughts? Are these things reliable? Good aftermarket?

whoops

>buying a shitbox from a dealer
Shiggy diggy. You only want to buy a BMW new or from an adult owner that took great care of it and has a folder full of maintenance records.

Find me one with under 100k miles and in this good condition then, cause I couldn't.

It does look pretty clean and there are few 330s in dallas/austin/Houston. Carfax says mileage inconsistency.

There is this one though. It's a 9k car and it's been listed a month.

It's also double the price of the car I'm looking at...? My budget is about 7k mate.

Budget of 7k? You can't afford a used BMW.

>buying a used BMW and expecting them to be reliable

Yeah, I can.
>budget
money set aside for a specific thing, in this case, 7k.
You know what that doesn't imply in the least? It doesn't imply I'm an 18 year old poorfaggot like you, and it implies I have 7k to spend on a car, not I have 7k to my name.

>2.5 liter
I'm not driving 100 miles to Weirdsville to buy a 2.5L BMW.

>literally being corey

>Budget of 7k? You can't afford a used BMW.
Speak for yourself. I just bought a 2005 BMW 530i in great condition for $5900.

instant red flag: it has the old pre facelift hood installed for some reason (hence the gaps all around it)
Avoid

look at that front end
mismatched paint and disgusting gaps everywhere

And the front bumper is cracked. This thing was 1k tops at auction.

Did you just pick up on that instantly?

That has been wrecked, odometer rolled back, and i haggard af with the wrong hood.

Come on dude.

BMWs arent reliable but the e46 is a very fun car to drive, and theres lot of aftermarket, go for it

it's an easy thing to pick up on

Huge redflags:

It has the wrong hood on it, the reason it has huge gaps around the headlights. (This car is a facelift model with a pre-facelift hood.) pic related is how the facelift hood should look like (notice the grill). This thing was probably in a crash or something. Also the engine service light is on and the EML light, which means there is a malfunction in the electronic engine management system

Forgot pic

yeah, I said that a few posts ago

So are you going to be able to afford the 2k in repairs over the next year?
