First for heres your aliens mod
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=834253740

1st for ayy up--- oh! What's this.

post rimworld memes

...

How do I get more factions to spawn?

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=830221184

H.P. Lovecraft once wrote an essay in which he speaks about how idiotic it is to have antropomorphic monsters and how dimwitted of an author to think it like that...

and then comes mass effect, a supposedly non erotic videogame in which theres a race of INTERGALACTIC LESBIANS

i remember reading the description that said "an all female race" and thinking what the fucking fuck? how can the term male or female have any significance to an organism evolved outside of the earth

but they're blue women with tentacles

Nth for /k/ cooking.

Asari are fine so long as you don't pretend that they're not made for human dicking. As a race on their own they're pretty bland.

CHEEKI BREEKI

...

...

So what even are Glitterworlds? What makes them so successful compared to other worlds? Is it their government, are they tied to some galactic empire stemming from Earth?

I have a smelter and have told my colonists to destroy all melee weapons (and a few are set to 1 priority crafting) and they won't do it. Anyone know why?

Glitterworlds are planets that somehow got to really advanced technology without also somehow blowing themselves up in the process, and that's literally it.

Only works on weapons with steel in them for one

thats honestly quite a feat, one that human kind probably wont achieve

>Is it their government,
yes, it is the result of a socialist goverment that does not have to fight a cold war.

all purely capitalist worlds end up as steampunk hellholes

all purely socialist worlds end up as glitterwold superpowers, like the star trek guys

Why can't the exotic trade ships just give you a ride home

Why can't you just sell your whole colony to pirates to escape?

You could argue that most planets don't become Glitterworlds because of the unlikeliness of it happening. However, as a result of humanity spreading its seeds across the galaxy, say 1/100 planets may succeed into glitterworlds.

honestly most of the rest of the galaxy sounds like a shithole, by the time you get around to being able to build a ship and leave, you probably already have a super fucking comfy base, why would you want to leave?

Tynan mused that trade ships are AI controlled and are explicitly told "no hitchhikers." Though it leaves a lot of wholes and questions.

It isn't for no reason.

Especially considering how often ships crash, yeah. I wish there was a "you made a comfy new civilization you win" ending other than me realizing it and starting a new game.

nth for here's your surgery mod
ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=29098.0

These insectoids come from an intelligent hive that sends out drones to scout and destroy humans, and they don't care whether they're disemboweling us or the zombies meandering around our map edges. There are 3 hordes on borders and we've been trying to find a spare moment to clear them out, but daily tasks have kept us too busy.

The bugs are tearing through the zombies one by one, the zombies fight back when attacked but the infection is limited to humankind.

>colonist goes for his daily recruitment chat to the prisoner
>the prisoner gets stabbed somehow

I want the same. I want more victory conditions focused on the planet itself. We are creating a "colony" after all.

Some user said there's a mod that lets you place circles. What was it called again?

Something to do with mining.

How long do human pawns usually last naturally? A slaver is here and I have a choice between someone who's 70 who has no restrictions on work and someone who is 30 but cannot do research, arts, and dumb labor. Is the number in brackets next to age supposed to be their projected natural lifespan?

I'm betting the current win condition is just a placeholder for something more intricate.

is there any reason to not have berries as your main food crop?

>grows almost as fast as rice
>colonists can eat it without raw food penalty

What hot spicy meme am I in for?

>dev has raked in 10 million dollars while unpaid volunteers patch the holes in his game

Is mod support the ultimate scam?

No, that is their chronological age. Cryofreezing is a thing in the game. Biological age just affects how likely they are to get diseases on their birthday AFAIK. And older people generate with more skills.

If you figure out who's doing it, arrest them. Just make sure it's on your terms.

Brackets is their chronological age (how long ago they were actually born, counting time in cyro, in which they did not biologically age)

can you show me hilarious examples of a game with too many mods installed conflicting with each other or creating crazy situations?

Does Hardcore-SK spawn raptors every fucking map?

there a mod that turns light off automatically at night?

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=717632155

>made big world
>dunno why
>big map too
>cos like it
>do medical operations
>load if it fails because I have best beds, medicine, lighting etc.
>takes 40 seconds to load now

Guess this is my penalty for being a save scummer for medical operations.

(if you must just spawn in glitterworld medicine, the success rates for those motherfuckers are pretty good)

Wow, amazingly the one with a blown off leg and nose and the one with the destroyed lung and shredded torso died of blood loss, I guess I should have just left them in the snow to die

They were hardly innocent though, they're all guilty for another half a day

just increase the base chance of surgery success in the files

I got three shortly after landing, not too bad to have around though. They kill things every day, sometimes even apex predators, with no problem. I never had to hunt, just scavenged their kills.

...

Read the rest of the tooltip. They want guilty prisoners to be executed, not die of neglect.

no it's fine. it's fiiiiiine

(maybe download a mod for it?)

what are the best windows mode? are windows structural weaknesses? do they model light well? do the light they provide remove the in drakness negative modifier?

I disable raptors. They are nothing but annoyances.

>shitty lighting so your doctor can't see
>omg how did they fail surgery

Someone make a surgery light thats as bright as sunlight in a smaller radius.

I mean, yeah, I got that bit, it's more that they had virtually no chance of survival because I had about 7 tribals with missing limbs and organs bleeding out in the snow, as well as all my injured colonists and animals, so logically, I should have left them in the snow to die rather than trying to save them so my guys would have been less upset. I guess they just get easily attached?

>colonist with 13 shooting skill
>Good assault rifle
>Can't hit someone 3 squares away
>Bandit with 5 shooting skill
>Shitty shotgun
>Surgical precision at max range

This is fucking XCOM all over again. Are assault rifles shit or am I just absurdly unlucky? Because I've got fuckers hitting every square around the target, but not the target.

...

I actually ran into the same problem earlier, I agree there should be some sort of grace window (maybe a day?) so you aren't punished for trying to save people.

What kind of cover are you using?

Also yeah, sort of. No one will blame you for save scumming if it's bullshit.

>it's required you need 2 generators worth of power in light to succeed in surgeries

Just get the mod Jesus Christ
ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=29098.0

Vegetable garden has small sunlamps and mini sunlamps which are good, although I think the mini sunlamps still use a bit too much power considering how small their lighting radius is. But 450 power to light up 4 surgery beds is pretty good.

If you select a colonist or enemy and mouse over a target, it tells you what chance they have to hit and what factors are contributing to their chances. You can also go into the colonists info and look at their shooting abilities to see what is affecting them, like if they have cataracts or a missing hand that obviously makes it a lot harder for them to hit stuff. There is also different hit chances for weapons at different ranges, so if you look at a particular gun it might have 90% at close range and 14% at long range, or if it's a sniper rifle or something, it could be 40% at close range and 95% at long range or something.

That's how probability works, you get unlucky sometimes and it has no bearing on what happens next time and had nothing to do with previous results. If you've played XCOM though you should know how to stack the odds in your favor against overwhelming numbers, step it up senpai

So can chemfuel be used for anything else than the pods? I mean without mods.

Oh and with mods. I saw a generator thing, but that's it.

>not building geothermal

>priorize seeding area
>plants one shit then walks off to the other side of the base
Its like these fuckers want to fucking die.

>ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=29098.0
I think I will.

I'm sick of people getting their heads cut off from installing peg legs.

How come chickens don't adhere to the allowed area I set for them? I'm trying to not have them get eaten by raptors and they are being cunts.

Get Fluffy's Work Tab, increase their planting priority to 1 and set everything else lower

>forums
Sorry not going to use some third world forum for mods. Too used to workshop. If it isn't in there, no care. I'm not making an account to download attachements or going through a list of autismal installation guides. Not to mention if shit gets updated I'll have to find that same fucking thread again instead of just using workshop.

You have to assign it to each individual chicken under Animals

It has a fucking workshop link in the description you turboautist

I have like 6 geothermal. I already use power all the time. I even have 8 wind turbines and 12 solar panels. There's researching, drilling, and a fuck load of other shit that needs power. Those bulbs however require so much power it's insane and it forces you to build your hospitals in a shitty way, circling around some fucking bulb meant for GROWING. Nah, fuck this shitty logic.

I've done that, but they still run around and through the main gates like they are unrestricted.

>6 geothermal, 12 solar, 8 wind and can't afford a sun lamp

Bullshit. Turn off your fucking geoscanner when you're not using it, how the hell are you using that much power

some fresh oc

Make there there isn't like, a single square of animal area sticking out over a wall that they're trying to run around to

Show your animal area

I think the yields are lower

you should have a next image where he's in prison eating shitty paste while his friend in the background is being harvested for organs

Happened to me too in a past colony where I had some. I think it might have something to do with them having no trainable intelligence.

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=822550368&searchtext=

You guys know nutrient paste lowers your recruitment chance, right?

Who says I'm recruiting them? I literally use them to train social.

>recruitment
>tribals

haha nice meme user

I don't want filthy tribals in my colony. Fucking savages.

>mfw I literally just recruited someone as this was posted while feeding them shitty paste

But they're canonically descended from normal people who crashlanded just like you

Just like you

JUST LIKE YOU

ruh roh

I surgically remove their eyes before releasing them into the world.

imagine that:
spaceship with a couple of guys and 30 females crash lands:

This is the chacne to create a perfect society based on perfect moral ideals by reproducing carefully and teaching all of the children the right ways and how to use our technology... NAh lets just have insane amounts of sex and keep these girls impregnated until we die from medical complications

>Some of you guys are alright, don't go to the medical room tomorrow.

>not bringing the light of civilization to them and leading them in battle

is there a mod that adds politics to the game, like how in df theres an expedition leader.

it would be nice to have a "king" in your land.

You're gonna have to put him down

That's the way I see my colony's. I set them up to be an example to other rimworld settlements. None of this degeneracy and illiteracy.

It was this, thanks guys.

No problem, happened to me as well

is there a rape mod?

what is the best way to recruit them?

the old system used to be that either fear or comfort could win them over whichever was higher, how does it work now?

Can we not do this every thread

Your warden builds rapport at a speed determined by their social skill, and the prisoners difficulty+prisoner needs+rapport is used in some calculation to determine your success.
