>Dubbed as the LS 500, it is the first LS to be powered by a V6 engine
>Lexus LS without a V8
Truly these are the End Times.
>luxobarge
>caring what engine it's powered by
Why
Luxobarges and V8s go hand in hand. It's just a thing, like peanut butter and jelly, or pizza and beer, or your mother and my dick.
Sound good to me. All the power of the V8 while minimizing vibration, noise and fuel consumption. You can still get the glorious sounding 5 Liter V8 in the coupe version of the LS.
The people who actually buy these type of cars don't give a shit about what your opinion. They want a serene and comfortable ride. You are not even supposed to listen to the engine in a full size luxury sedan.
The Germans have been downsizing and adding turbos, It was about time for Lexus to also follow that path. You can't go again the industry.
>while minimizing vibration, noise and fuel consumption.
Isn't the first gen LS400 engine the only one that's so well-balanced it's FAA rated for usage in airplanes?
v8 is superior and more smooth than the shitbox v6.
Inline 6 however...different story.
why is it called the LS 500 if it doesn't have a 500 hp LS engine in it?
500 torks
I want the V8 I need the V8
V8s are inherently smoother than V6s.
This.
Here's me hoping there will be a LS-F and have the 2UR V8 in it. The multi-link suspension may be shared between the LS and the LC, so there is a potential of a sporty LS.
You can still get your V8
Interior is supposed to make you feel warmth
Can you feel the Japanese hospitality, user?
>yfw someone swaps the V8 from the LC into the LS.
>yfw they start a business of doing this.
this is far by the best interior I've seen on any car in a very long time.
...
I can feel the warm inside my pants.
Its kind of autism-triggering that the alphanumerical naming scheme is totally pointless on BMW, Mercedes and now Lexus too.
>LC500
>5-litre 8-cylinder
>LS500
>3-litre 6-cylinder
Fuck
When did Lexus git gud at interiors? This is Mercedes-level swag. Without looking feminine or Persian.
Mid 90s
>Takumi
>that speedometer
pig disgusting.
If it was black instead of that weird white I'd feel warm
>black belt, brown shoes
You're a neet with no fashion sense that could never afford this car.
I didn't say it would look better, I said it would look warm. White is not a warm color.
Subaru boxer engines are used in lots of planes. And we know how reliable those are...
And ask Mooney about what FAA certification really means about an engine...
Doesn't need to be the V8 from the LC.
The V8 engine is used in the RC F and GS F.
But I get what you're getting to lol.
Terrible interior design if you live in a shithole like Los Angeles. Seriously. It looks fantastic if the outside view is also fantastic, not full of fucking homeless people.
There will probably be an LS600h with a V8
>V8
Its not american so who cares? I thought the weebs and fathers to college kids don't care about shit like that.
Someone please explain to me why everyone here hates the v6 but loves the I6
I6 has one cylinder head, two cams, less rotating mass, much smoother revving, less moving parts, usually stronger, cool and oil better.
It's expensive because of the larger castings and they're longer than a V6 which make them harder to fit in a car, and balance the entire chassis around it
The first LS was better than it's German equivalents from day 1
just LS swap it
