Monokuma, obviously seeing as Kaede is the most beneficial death, makes her the blackened, which she accepts willingly for the good of everyone.
Ouma breaks down, having set it all up expecting himself to die, not wanting Kaede to die, but she accepts it, and gets executed.
The execution is Kaede sitting on the electric chair.
