I just noticed the (Continuation When) next to the group fic link. I remember reading through it a while ago and it did kind of just stop.
Not sure if people want to continue it as is or just start a new one. Maybe our own epilogue, which a few of us have already done individually.
Also, is the Archive going to get updated again? I totally get if the user doing got caught up in life or even stopped coming here entirely, just curious.

I thought I was in on out shit with Nathan (and Jefferson). Him asking you to "Go Ape" was him leading Max into trap.

I was expecting him to walk into the Dark Room, high from the party, and for Jefferson to say something like "You wanted max, well here she is".
But then he and Nathan start fighting (Like they do in the hall) and that would be when Max is able to escape or snag the photo from Warren.

I'm glad they didn't go that route and just left him as mostly harmless. The game didn't need another poorly done villain and Warren willingly helping Max(know she's going to save Chloe) is good for showing that he accepts Max does not have romantic feelings for him.

Not that it even matters because when it's a question of a loved one vs strangers, the loved one always comes first. Especially when the dilemma is about a NATURAL DISASTER.
You're thinking like the Aztecs or some shit if you think a human sacrifice will guarantee no storm comes. I'm not even fully talking about the storm Max allegedly caused, she could sacrifice Chloe and then a few weeks later another tornado comes because the weather patterns had the right conditions.

It depends how important that one person is to the individual. I'll be honest, if I had someone I cared about and I was given the choice between them and a bunch of random schmucks I don't even know or don't have that much to any connection to, I would choose the former.

Storms come and then they leave.
With their departure, they take away the darkness and rain they brought with them, and leave sunlight.

I care about everyone. But I'd be lying if I said the single biggest thing I wanted from the ending was for Max and Chloe to be together.
I got that. My biggest issues with the ending was that I didn't get any kind of closure or hint what happened to everyone else. The ending really would have benefited from a timeskip and overall better writing.

I've been seeing more and more art of Chloe with a bike. Not sure how to feel about that idea.

You do not speak for everyone here. I think all of us cared about characters in addition to caring about Max and Chloe.
Which is why I wanted to know what happened to the others and have spent extensive time discussing it here.
Even though Max and Chloe are the best parts of each others lives, they are not the only parts.

The game isn't about the other characters. They're only tapestry in Max and Chloe's story.

The story's focus is indeed about Max and Chloe, but there are sideplots and story branches about other characters that got no resolution.

Coincidence. Hadn't played games for years before I stumbled on LiS, and I wasn't really looking for much of anything particular in these threads when I first arrived.

It's unique, that much was abudantly clear to me despite not having had played much else. Maybe part of that is the episodic format having gotten to me when it never did in TV. Most of it is the game itself though, I'm certain.

A world I've grown surprisingly fond of, feeling like it is a part of me; the places, the moments, the characters - in memory, very personal entities. Don't wanna let go, but keep it as real as it can be in interaction with others that feel similarly.

I can't say I'm working towards something in life; LiS and visiting /lisg/ is part of my life that I like as it is, and will like how it's going to be.

As for the rest, no, I'm not in love with any of its characters, and I would be doing my all to fall out of it if I were. I love them, their relationships and stories and moments, but there's clear distance there. Healthy distance. And so far in life, I have not found that my happiness should depend on other people. That's a tragic notion to me. Then again, I haven't been madly in love in my life, so if that happens, maybe my perspective on that changes.

For me, it's the instrumentals by Syd Matter. Followed closely by Kids Will Be Skeletons. Instrumental music gets my imaginative and emotional juices flowing more.

Spanish Sahara is the only song I'd call "heavy" in its emotional effect on me. Caught me off-guard and did get to me in the game. Mountains and Obstacles are effectful too, the former both in its own right and contextualized, the latter only really - but then all the more so - in context.

Golden Hour, Blackwell Academy, Timelines and Max & Chloe are so special to me now. Very personal, intimate listening experiences. I couldn't imagine listening to them with someone else, that loneliness is part of it.
