Red Ash still seems so much cooler than MN9.

Kinda wish they would make a MN9 sequel with the problems fixed.

I was one of the 50% of people that liked it. Call was cute. Controls were fluid. Game just needed another polish check ( Instead of shitty co-op crap ) and it would be gold.

My guess is it was a plot point that would go like this:

I just finished playing the port for 5 (I'm the same person who downloaded the apk in the last thread, no way am I giving Capcom money for this garbage).

The same issues persist through the Darkman and Wily stages and the fortress bosses are much worse due to the offcentred hitboxes, with the Wily stomping boss being near impossible to hit. Worse yet, some special weapons are barred from usage in certain areas like the Dust Man-esque section. Wily's final fight is still easy though.
The credits is just a "A Winner Is You" screen with "Congratulations" over the top and the robot masters' action poses and a short scene with the other characters running off screen, but that's it. No actual credits at all.
Also, the final Darkman stage has this single room added where you shoot a block on the bottom left and slide into the rest of the level for some reason.

The world of Mighty No. 9 could have made an interesting fighting game.

His first form is already hard enough even with the gold armor and the 4 sub tanks, I'm a fucking scrub, I could defeat Virus Sigma and Wolf Sigma after a bit of practice but this motherfucker is outright impossible

Probably because nobody considered Roll to be important enough to warrant expies at the time. Which is fair enough, since she only ever appeared in credits sequences.
Although, if you want to see it this way, Zero fulfills several "Roll" features like being red, having blonde hair and a strong bond with the blue protagonist. Heck, Roll's "Roll Swing" from Powered Up works somewhat like the Z-Saber.
