small paint chip on the hood
small dent on the rear passenger quarter pannel
tune is a bit rich

honestly i am torn on spending money to fix this shit because its gonna be really really expensive and its not necessary for the car to run good

Interior issues
New plastic panel around the steering wheel, have parts, never installed it. Bought this shit last year
New rubber around hand brake
Clean/wash carpets and stains around the car

Exterior
Body paint is falling apart
Passenger rim is cracked, not trying to jinx myself, but it is a large rim crack might wreck one day

Engine
Could use a new battery but haven't had any actual issues yet

'99 Impreza WRX
Interior:
The dash has developed a rather nasty rattle thanks to the local road surfaces being rubbish.
Exterior:
A multitude of paint chips and small dings from asshats in parking lots including the mother of all shopping cart dents where some old hag pushed it against my car to get it to stay still to unload her shopping.
Mechanical:
Needs a new clutch soon, rear main seal is leaking a bit of oil, there is a tiny crack in the sump, shift bushings are in dire need of replacement and as of last week the timing belt is squeeking.

>Gone through 4 jacks in the past 3 months
What the fuck are you doing to your jacks?

Nah but he was scared shitless. Some living meme college liberal and his 4' fatass girlfriend. His insurance fucked him too so at least I don't have to pay

I keep getting cheap shitty ones for like $20. Finally bought a real jack for $150 so hopefully it'll last more than twice

where do you even find a $20 jack? My harbor freight one was a steal at $70 and hasn't let me down.

- Engine mounts makes it harder to put in 2nd and 4th gear since I really need to make sure it's actually in unless I wanna grind the gears.
- Front window has billions of tiny marks from chips of stone (salt+gravel during winter)
- Rust is starting to come up on the dogbone.
- Something makes it missfire during WOT, either super expensive DIC or prolly the NGK plugs are worn (plugs look okay, but best to change anyway)
- I haven't replaced the door lights and interior lights on the ground to LED like I've done to all the roof lights
- Can't decide if I want to keep satnav since it can play radio, or swap to my BT+AUX+USB+Handsfree 3rd party radio
- polish the car
- Something (possible a leaf) is making a light rattle in the AC fan occasionally.
- Haven't done any brake bleeding, ever, even though they brake fine it's always good to be sure there's no bubbles in there.

For those /pol/-users that realized I drive a Swedish car:
- rear wiper line or pump doesn't cum on the rear window so I can YES out the back when it's dirty.

My car comes with those, and I have never had a problem with them.
But a hydraulic jack is faster and easier to use.

Are you fucking suicidal? Get a proper one. I bet that thing isn't even rated to the weight of your vehicle.

Nah they were rated 3000lbs. And I wasn't getting under without jackstands. But yeah, they're complete shit and I'm glad I'm finally done with them

The one that came with the car actually snapped after the 4th use or so

Those a pretty much only good to jack up one corner just enough to change a tire.

has any car ever came with a good jack?

A surprising amount of people can't change a tire on their own, and just call AAA or whatever.

Is it ever possible to mend a rolled car?

If you got the time and the money anything is possible.

As a guy working at an auto body shop, I advise against maaco. That $300 you're spending is going to last ~3 months then you're back to square 1. Get the car mechanically sound, then start saving for a decent paint job.

Not the first person I've heard say that. The problem is that the local body shops I've talked to, for the bare minimum basic paint job, is more than a thousand. You're definitely right about it being worth saving for but fuck me that thing looks terrible right now.

Replace the engine air filter, level the headlights. Finish the rest of the 90k mile service once I have time. Timing belt, oil, oil filter, water pump, cabin air filter, and a bunch of other things have already been done.

After that I need to clean the cabin air temperature sensors, refurbish the steering wheel back to factory new, find a new trunk switch because the plastic on mine has broken off.

It also could use a good wash. The engine bay has random twigs and shit on the radiator. The battery terminals have a bit of corrosion.

When I have a job that can actually support more than bare essentials I'm thinking about redoing the leather interior and possibly a respray because the leather is showing small cracks in places and the paint is starting to go in places. Also considering improved exhaust headers for better efficiency and taking the time to refurbish and rust proof anything that is starting to go like wheel hubs
