Is it possible to be an Veeky Forums without knowing how to drive manual?

Just get an automatic challenger.

...

yeah that sums up half this board

Why would you want to be an Veeky Forums, more to the point.

>be an Veeky Forums
wat

dad?

No

Image boards cannot drive cars, let alone shift gears itself. Fuck you OP.

Yes but you should learn anyway.

This thread is bad and you should feel bad

Manuals are obsolete. Modern autos are so good the manual will be extinct soon.

/manual driver

most of Veeky Forums rides the bus so ....

I recognize that knob...

Yes but do most Veeky Forumstists manually scan their buss passes?

>he recognizes knobs

Manual-fags confirmed for actually fags.

ITS A SPORTS CAR

I was holding a knob and shaft just like it, a few hours ago

Would it be a bad idea to buy a new car with a standard from the dealership?

I've only ever driven my buddy's '90s camaro in hs and another buddy's manual cobalt for a total of maybe half an hr of road time.

I want to get the new Civic Si when it comes out but not sure if I should take the plunge, and just moved a few months ago to a new state for a job so don't really have any friends with a manual car for me to get back in the swing of things with.

Most of Veeky Forums probably doesn't even drive. Too many bus cucks.

Anyone can learn to drive manual, though. It's not a rare skill or particularly difficult to pick up.

Go for it, user. It won't take long at all for you to get back into the swing of things.

My commute to work is short, only like 15 min but there's like 3 decent hills in the way and I've never done a hill start, only ever driven on flat ground.
How much excessive wear of the clutch do you think I'd have learning on my new car. I don't want to trash it before it's even broken in

just use the handbrake till you get used to your clutch
