yeah they could've put other gauges there, i just really like the front & center tach positioning with the digital mph/kph.

Yeah, I agree. Really love the layout of the whole dash honestly. A lot of people seem to think it's cheap but I guess I prefer it that way, without all the bullshit.
Not gonna lie I absolutely love gauges, I didn't buy the car specifically for the gauges but im sure sub consciously it helped by having them

in my opinion, my dash feels pretty comfy. Its only an oil pressure gauge and clock away from being perfect

I wouldn't say it is boring, but it gets the job done.
Also what I like about a cluster panel is that its not too agressive at night even with lights at the minimum level.
I still miss my older cars where you could shut the cluster light completly.

ehh, it does what it's supposed to do. And it has green background lighting!
Pic of it at night, Mercedes-Benz choice of color makes it really relaxing at night so you can concentrate better on the road.

Only strange thing is on a couple model years they put the warning light cluster (low air, low oil pressure, engine heat) up above the windshield near the sun visor so it is really easy not to notice them if one is on.

It took me a couple of seconds to figure out what's going on with the weird looking "display" - all I can say now is Jesus Christ, what were they thinking?!? They could've fitted an MFD from an airliner there (feasible!) and it would've been awesome but THIS is just atrocious!
They've had the same basic design since the 996, which I've always liked
