Well before he lock himself in with the Shadows, Ann kinda asked him to join with them to fight Shidou and Haru said that it's not too late to join the PT.

Adding onto this. After Goro sacrificed himself I just felt like PT really could have done something for him, but they didn't. And there's no changing what has happened. I'm not mad at PT but it's one of the moments where I felt frustrated playing the game.

Not unused, but if someone figured out how to get around the cut-in compression it should be possible to get the actually unused ones.

If someone DMs him, ask him to take a look at CutInMain_0_10_10 in 0_main_0, that should be one of the unused ones for Goro. One of the CutInMain_0_09_## ones should be the other one.

Lavenza's, if they're in the data, should be in 1_com_0 or 2_sub_0 depending on whether they're grouped with the twins' files like the portraits or not.

Artbook has ones we haven't seen in game, but, we don't know if they're truly unused. It's even weirder because they don't show unused portraits, so why would they show unused cutins?
