Does anyone have a guide for editing the save file of a cart game? I tried using JKSM but when I imported the new save the game said the save was corrupt.

As long as your CFW protects both FIRM partitions, it's not patchable.

Luma3DS is the CFW.

Sighax is also "just a bit of code in the FIRM". If you overwrote FIRM then sighax would be uninstalled too.

a9lh takes control of the system as soon as it powers and Luma is the patched firmware that you want it to run..

The programming flaw that makes Sighax possible is in the bootrom, but Sighax isn't installed to the bootrom because the bootrom can't be changed.
Sighax will be installed to FIRM, because FIRM is what the bootrom loads and the bootrom sucks at checking if FIRM indeed came from Nintendo.

Is it a N3DS small or XL? Either way, you're going to have to force open the thing manually and break the screw/backplate, or rely entirely on FTPD/data management SD transfer to change files.

If it's an N3DS small then there's really no problem as you can buy another backplate, with the XL you're going to have to look a little harder.
