DESU this games competitive mode seems more like the most convoluted game of snakes and ladders, either im solo queing and its entirely random success or im with my friends and we stomp till we are bored and do something else
Is there a website I can go to where my team of friends can arrange a match with another comp team and play a game where everyone is communicating like you can in the tf2 community?

QP or comp? The solution to stubborn DPS who are being ineffective in comp is either babysitting them or playing triple-DPS chicken: swap a support or tank for DPS. It's not ideal, but it gives you a path to victory. If you can steal all his gold medals in the first 30 seconds (and you usually will) then it increases your chances of him eventually swapping roles.

Regarding the babysit method: Sticking a tank and support on them can help shitter DPS do well. A common scenario is when you're getting raped by the Pharah and your hitscan isn't killing her. Stick a Zen or Mercy onto your hitscan, and have a D.Va exclusively focused on keeping rockets off your shitter.
For shitter Genjis, sending a D.Va or Winston in there with them, and having Zarya bubble him and Zen pocket him and discord his targets.

If you're getting gunned down by mercy as bastion you are probably out of position. Learn to plan ahead, you should already be setup by the time the enemy shows up.

What planet do you live on? Doing that guarantees they tilt, shift the blame on the team, and throw the game.
Like, if he's having a bad game he might realize at some point and switch, but if you give him excuse by switching a healer or tank to dps, he'll just think he's doing bad because the team isn't supporting him and stay the course or start throwing. And if he's a bad player and not just having a bad game, he still got to your mmr, so maybe think about that for a second.
Best you can do if one of your dps is shit is play a comp that assumes you're playing 5 vs 6(which is triple tank ana lucio/zen in current meta), and treat everything he does as a bonus. And when he ults actually fucking support them because hey, free ult.
