Short is just cheap attraction.

Simply put, it's a war drama with quite a bit of character and world building before that. It also has some politics and quite a bit of emphasis on friendship and loyalty, that makes you get more into the story and feel more for the characters. You also get an SRPG for the key battle events, which gives you another way to experience the game. Of course, the gorgeous art also helps quite a bit.

Probable one of the drawback is that it's pretty slowpaced at the start since the events are generally quite laidback. It might also be boring for some who aren't too interested in details.

One special thing about Utawarerumono that seperates it from the rest is that it also features superhuman stuff, based on something that's like science-fiction (it's in game 1 as well). I guess I should also includes the fact that they created an entire world for it.

Some details:
As the main story progresses linearly, you frequently get parts where they pause for several side events. The side events generally serves to build up the characters or the world, and they do it with quite a bit of details, like describing local delicacies or visiting the market. The characters part gives you the fanservicey stuff, while the tidbits or world building stuff can be nice to read.

The flow of the story is much like the first: the protagonist starts off with being in a pretty carefree position, then slowly but surely getting involved in wars that determine the fate of the country, which directly or indirectly involves many of his friend/comrads.

I have a big-ass physical library for my Vita and I'm at 3.60. I just ordered Steins;Gate 0, and when I popped it in, I saw that I need to upgrade to 3.61 to play it. What do?

I wasn't necessarily interested in hacking my Vita, but since this is something I can't undo, I'm wondering if I should upgrade or not.
