That's what you think, but when you actually start seriously thinking about it, it's suddenly mount fucking everest. Think of writing a book, sure, you have this grand idea, amazing, bet it would sell a trillion copies.
Then, you get into the details and that's where most people stay/leave. Remember the story? It needs characters, personal motivations, quirks, looks, ACTUAL DIALOGUE, background and up to simple things like names. Then you get world building, it's fine if you take things from real life, but then you still need to actually research them. Now story is the interesting part, it's nice and easy in your head, you try to think of the way to convey it, but then you hit a brick wall when you realize what is in your head is nowhere near as well spaced as it should be, so you try to space it, make a plan, fit all the little things, characters and story together, think of twists and stuff to keep reader interested and attain good coherent story. In addition you have to watch your writing, avoid any and all Idiosyncrasies that are unrelated to story, keep the flow at all times, avoid using the same terminology or repeating phrases.
Unless you want to make a fucking moege, then it's an autopilot
