So, while this isn'm my first car I'm buying, my $300 beater is finally dying on me and this time around I actually have some money to play around with. I would like to stay sub 15k but I can strech that a little bit if I fall in love with something. The main thing I'm looking for is something that is reasonably fun to drive that isn't gonna rape me on insurance (22y/o, spotless record). My buddy Suggested a Taurus SHO, but I'm not sure that would be good on insurance.
A few things I'd like > Sub 100k miles > Awd prefreable, RWD is out, I live in NE Ohio > I hate Hatchbacks
I'd be happy to clarify anything if needed, and for refrence, my current beater is an '04 Century

RWD skids in the snow are the best thing about winter OP you're cucking yourself. dont drive like a retard and you'll be fine.
Christopher Smith
2006-2016 Impala SS.
>dirt cheap >fwd for northern winter >pretty fast >cheaper insurance >comfy >sedan >practical
People will probably flame me for suggesting a "meme car" but I drove one myself and really liked it.
Jeremiah Hughes
The SS was 2006-2009 only. And they're known for blowing the transmission.
Dylan Smith
I might look at the Newer Impalas, but all the SS' near me have a fuckload of miles and are pretty beat up
Also, this
Ryder Collins
I 2nd the transmission.
This and the Pontiac GXP. The transmission was designed for V6's and they put a V8 in there it's too much load for it.
Post 2012 Impalas are decent, updated 3.6 V6 gives you 300 ponies and FWD. Dirt cheap, too.

2nd gen NA Legacy Wagon that's been well taken care of with however many miles on it. If the headgaskets haven't been done, use your extra budget money to do that. Once the engine blows up use extra budget money to replace that. Continue to enjoy even more extra money you saved from your smart financial decision even after all that. Ezpz

Just get a civic for 3k.
Henry Wood
Ford Mondeo or Ford Taurus
Lexus IS is also a nice car
Christian Williams
Outback XT
>awd >safe (for insurance) >250hp >roomy >wagon
Nicholas Robinson
I kinda figured When I said I don't like hatchbacks that wagons would be lumped into it
Was kinda looking at a forester XT tho
No

Get an e46 m3, then use the remaining money to fix all the shit that's probably wrong with it or will soon be wrong with it.

I drove my old ladies moms Flex with the 3.5TT, that thing hauled for a mom mobile. I like the looks of the Taurus(at least the front 3/4), but it's not good on gas. As for insurance you'd have to see what comes up for your age, driving record, location and even credit score.
Joseph Williams
Why? A 3k civic is perfect for you. You're young so you should have a cheap car while saving for a house or paying for school.
Caleb Cruz
Both of those are taken care of already, have my own place, and I'm out of school
Caleb Carter
Then why can you only spend 15k?
Ethan Cruz
lol
If you're really in the position you seem to be claiming you're in you should be buying two cars - a "winter beater"/DD and a summer/weekend car. These can both be fun cars, for example a truck and a sports coupe. Just buy them outright so you can have liability only insurance on them.
Matthew Morgan
Because after bills and living expenses, its what I figured I could spend and not have to live on Ramen
Anyway, I would rather have one nicer car than two lesser ones, plus I only have space for one
