Anal with Makoto!

Yeah, the VR copies of all the survivors from the games (who might be dead by now anyway) talk about him. He lived through both games, which is why his ability is Survivor.

THIS IS A GORO-FREE THREAD

NO GOROFAGGOTS ALLOWED

...

Joker's parents are divorced!

Phantom is from Sumaru City!

>People from /drg/ had the nerve to talk shit about P5's villain reveals

I want to make a bride of an autistic fox!

How many kids are you going to have?

The fake protagonist's plan is actually more convoluted than Futaba's, someone posted a simple version at the end of the last thread

Or literally anything in P5 tbqh.
I'm genuinely impressed at how awful this game is
If I literally got hired and asked to write the worst possible story for a game - it'd probably be like this.
Say what you want about Hashino but Persona is miles better off with him than DR is with Kodaka.

>VR copies
Fucking why? Do they serve a purpose other than fanservice?

considering how p5 lingered in development too, its almost a bit surprising how well it turned out

>Makoto x Phantom
>Anne x Ryuji
>Futaba x Yusuke
>Haru x Goro

Daily reminder that this is the optimal pairing in P5

Cause Hashino is a terrible writer, but he's not entirely retarded either

I'M NOT YOUR SUBSERVIENT PUPPET

There's an accidental murder in there, someone is made brain dead by a bug that the mastermind set up and someone else triggered by accident, so they became a murderer.

apparently the script for this game has been done since the tps on the vita came out

>Hashino is a terrible writer
Hashino isn't the writer.

Hashino is the director, there's a team of writers for P5, just like every other game.

He's a terrible director too

>someone is made brain dead by a bug that the mastermind set up and someone else triggered by accident, so they became a murderer.
Kodaka won't even let us have proper murder mysteries in this game anymore either lmao

...

Hardly. P5 is a genuinely fantastic game.
It didn't get there with a terrible director at the helm.

Please God, let me meet him. All I want to is to find that perfect boy I know exists. He’s sweet and shy and my age and likes all the things I do, perhaps even is on this site itself. The boy who won’t secretly think I’m a loser, the boy I can cuddle with (even if only possible online) and spent nights talking to and laughing and sharing happiness. Someone who can reciprocate the love I put in, the boy who I can make feel safe and secure unconditionally and can fill this gaping, empty void in my heart. Please, just let me find this person. I’ll change everything about me if that’s what it takes. Please, I just can’t take the loneliness anymore.

do you even know what a director does
plot isn't the only thing he's overseeing

>Haru x Goro

might as well ship Floral Pants Man and Sojiro if we're just shipping whoever at this point

He's a B level director. Has his flaws that have become very apparent over the course of 3 similar games, but at the same time they're all solid overall

it's basically the same stunt that was pulled at the end of 2, except it happens in the first trial, the third
And THEN there's the fifth one, my favorite, where someone commits suicide, with a trap that someone else made, and that person is then branded a killer. IT would've slit their throats trying to solve this shit.

As many or as little as my bride wants.

I wouldn't all it fantastic, it's good and fun for what it is, but it's not a masterpiece. He's a shitty director, he relies on crutches like tying characters to dungeons and dropping them after, pacing issues, and copy pasting from his previous games. That's not to say, P5 is the best Persona to date.

the thing with DR is that it's a text and plot-driven game where gameplay is pretty much secondary, I mean if I wanted to play a shooter I'd you know, go play a real fucking FPS. That's why the faults with the story stand out so much. With P5, there are still faults within the story, nothing is perfect, but I can still enjoy the gameplay and fusing and making my best personas.

I wonder what Fuuka's working with.
It looks small, maybe they're headphones?

Nah Sojiro x Sae

The IT would've all been killed off with how stupid and naive they all are. This sounds convoluted beyond belief, twists for the sake of twists.

Which team is better at solving cases? SEES, IT, or PT?

>not Sojiro and drunk old man outside of Joker's house

Yusuke would be a terrible father, and not just because he's an art autist. You don't grow up with a parental figure like Madarame and not turn out to be a shit parent yourself.

He could always start with plants and move onto a kitten or something. But yeah I agree, at least he'll always have art

PTs by a mile, they were basically part time detectives, and had to figure out what their targets Palace were, as well as having to traverse the puzzles in their Palace in the span of a month or so. The IT couldn't find one culprit given a year, and if it weren't for a proffesional detective joking them in the end, most likely wouldn't have. SEES doesn't even question what they're doing until it's too late.

floral pants x his uni friend is the otp obviously

>he relies on crutches like tying characters to dungeons
Having a dungeon dedicated to each character is fine. Christ it's a game about exploring the minds of the cast, there's no better way to do this.

>pacing issues
In P3, fucking absolutely. In P4, less so but still there. In P5, not at all; the pacing in it is stellar and there's never a dull moment, nor does the game feel anywhere near as long as it is.

Somebody please post the boob jiggle webms

...

Goro is best because he wouldnt want kids at all after what he's been through.

>second year transfer student of the fool arcana

I can't wait for his protag for Re: Fantasy to be the second year from his wizard school.

the second part of that point is the key. the dungeons are front-loaded with characterization and then they just drop into the background to make room for the next character & dungeon

But we aren't exploring the minds of the party members in P5, it's their oppressors minds, and even then they're just made out to be evil and selfish, instead of having their mentalities explored.

P5 fixes pacing because each month is its own mini adventure, episodic stories are definetly easier to make than one long plot.

>episodic stories are definetly easier to make than one long plot.
You say that as if P5 doesn't do both.

P4 is even worse, characters "mentalities" just boil down to one problem which was incredibly obnoxious.

P5 has few scenes with Goro and even less with Shidou throughout until the end.

The targets' mentalities aren't really explored because the dungeon arcs aren't about them, they're about the party members. We don't need to know more about them or have them made out to be more nuanced because of muh grey morality.

>The IT couldn't find one culprit given a year, and if it weren't for a proffesional detective joking them in the end, most likely wouldn't have.
Okay, first thing; Naoto did literally nothing that would help them catch either Namatame or Adachi, in fact she almost ruined everything since she was the one who brought up the idea to kill Namatame.
Second, they kinda had literally nothing to work with. It's not even a matter of figuring things out, Namatame left no trace whatsoever and victims couldn't remember a thing. There was nothing they could've done to sped things up.

It really doesn't, it's like a Saturday morning cartoon, every episode is self contained, but the big bad tends to be behind them.

Which genuinely sucks, wouldn't it have been rad if Goro actually played the part of Ganimard and Zenigata like he was supposed to until the twist, and actually chased the Thieves down, and had been a constant presence. It would've made the Goro episode waaaay more impactful. Like imagine him being similar to the Reaper in Palace dungeons, after a certain amount of time he starts chasing you around.

>P4 has few scenes with Adachi and even less with Izanami throughout until the end.
Come the fuck on. The growth of the PT is a clear arc over the entire game, and the overarching plot of P5 is actually more fleshed out than in P4.

Shidou was supposed to be lurking in the background and not revealed until the end. Goro has quite a strong presence ever since you meet him, you gain coop levels every month, plus station and leblanc appearances and people talking about him. Saying Goro has few scenes is really far from the truth.

But what do we learn about our party members in the Palace other than "I'm being oppressed by this one person! I'm pissed!"

>Which genuinely sucks, wouldn't it have been rad if Goro actually played the part of Ganimard and Zenigata like he was supposed to until the twist, and actually chased the Thieves down, and had been a constant presence. That sounds awful mr. armchair game dev

Goro has a ton of scenes, what are you talking about?

I wonder if Goro succedeed killing Yu if he approached the IT under the same circumtances like PT does?

Let me tell you, that would be impossible to implement in any of the P5 dungeons aside from the casino. Especially Okumura's with the airlock shit.

They had nothing to work with because of how incompetent they were, they should've realized what was going on by the time Kanji gets kidnapped, it was all just filler.

Definitely, IT didn't have a magic talking cat hiding in the protagonists bag.

>"I'm being oppressed by this one person! I'm pissed!"
EOP alert
Not a single fucking dungeon follows that formula
Kamoshida isn't "oppressing" Anne or Ryuji, he's fucking up people's lives and both Anne and Ryuji are taking a stand for them. Madarame isn't "oppressing" Yusuke - heck, Yusuke's not even aware he's his enemy or the extent of it for the most part. Kaneshiro's a weak antagonist but even the reasoning for Makoto opposing him is sound, given her lawful morals, Futaba's entire arc couldn't be less fitting of that description for blatant reasons, and Haru is taking a stand against Okumura Food's practices, the Fiance stuff is relegated to her co-op for the most part and not to do with the dungeon plot.

the power of friendship would bring him back like nanako

Why? How's it any different from the Reaper?

That's the point, he chases you in certain sections and you have to lose him.

Would there be an ending where Yu helps him murder him

Yu would try his damnest to befriend Goro and make him feel at home, entire IT would accept him with open arms. That scene wouldn't even happen.

its better than most of /pg/'s p5 ideas lets be honest

*as bad as

Now that sounds like DS2 SOTFS Pursuers, that would suck.

i'm not saying it's good, but did you read some of the plots and structures people have come up with?

Stop being a party pooper

Yeah I felt Yu isn't the type to just leave Goro alone knowing what he was about to do. He'd confront him for sure.

>"le found the EOP guys XD, I totally played the game cuz I'm calling him an EOP!"
Holy shit user you literally just repeated what I said in different words as an argument. The party member of that respective dungeon is irrelevant until they awaken, at which point they realize they're being oppressed and that's the end of that until you fight the boss and move on.

>they should've realized what was going on by the time Kanji gets kidnapped
How exactly?

>P5 fixes pacing because each month is its own mini adventure
So that is the omnibus format Hashino talked about previously?

Oversimplifying things, but can't argue since that's the formula in jrpgs where you have to collect your nakama before fighting the final boss.

>The party member of that respective dungeon is irrelevant until they awaken
You are literally retarded user

Of course /drg/ is less consistent about this than we were about Goro before fuckoos user, so it's now possible that he doesn't survive this third time now

>no fun allowed
It's a decent idea user, if it was actually in the game you wouldn't complain, you don't have to auto devil me every idea on /pg/

I called you out on being an EOP for saying shit that's blatantly untrue.
>The party member of that respective dungeon is irrelevant until they awaken, at which point they realize they're being oppressed and that's the end of that until you fight the boss and move on.
This is the most fucking bullshit oversimplifcation I've ever seen. It's like saying "every dungeon has a boss, how lame".

Rate the PT according to who would make the best parent

Discounting Futaba, name one time any of the party members matter after they awaken? And Yusuke only matters in Madarame's dungeon to get passed a block.

>auto devil me
what?

Makoto>Haru>=Joker>Futaba>Anne>Ryuji>>>>>>>Yusuke=Goro

Morgana doesn't count.

>futaba higher than anne
not really seein it desu

>And Yusuke only matters in Madarame's dungeon to get passed a block
Poor Yusuke

But it's true, did you not play the game? Ryuji stops mattering after his shadow tells him he wants to be a delinquent because Kamoshida broke his knee, Anne stops mattering after she gets told by her shadow to let loose because Kamoshida was making her a sex object, Yusuke stops mattering after his shadow and realizing Madarame was using him, Makoto really stops mattering after her shadow tells her to be assertive and breaking the banks front door, Haru stops mattering after you beat her fiancée.

Hey, Morgana is going to be the father of over 100 kittens once he accepts his fate

>fiancée
MakoHaru is real!

auto deny*

>mattering
What the fuck are you talking about? No seriously, why the fuck do you think a character needs to solve some contrived problem to be developed? Their character arcs don't even remotely begin end after their awakenings.

Am I the only person who doesn't really mind the whole "party member isn't relevant to the plot after finishing their dungeon" thing? I mean you gain a new buddy to goof around in daily life and see their interactions with your other buddies and that's plenty enough for me. I'd rather not have all my party memebers being tied up in all sorts of plot events. It got annoying in Tales of games sometimes.

Maybe instead of using oversimplification for everything I say you can provide actual examples from the game

>it's another /pg/ pretends to be retarded episode

>Haru stops mattering after you beat her fiancée.

i think there's a balance between the two that would be ideal

>Goro finally feels genuinely loved and accepted
>refuses to go against IT, goes rogue
>decides to deal with Shidou before elections
>IT finds him, they all go together
>Goro gets to fight Shidou
>Shidou still loses the election and is utterly humiliated
>Goro is still alive and well
>few months later he UMI DAs with his new nakamas
Was that really that hard, PT?
