There are lots of other cities that are widely known for tourism features, services, and safety which are not on that list. So the truthfulness of that list is suspect unless only the rich wealthy sections of town are considered. In that case, Detroit should be on that list as it has a rich protected section of city. It's just that the rest of the city was infamously cast off and given slow response times by police and fire.
