You don't want it to hit you at all if possible. But if it's a short screen that's not going to happen. You should hope to get it to go over your shoulders or close to that.

Only part that matters is the bottom end thats actually inside your engine, you can check the electrode and insulator to kind of guess how your engine is running.

So with my drz, the wiring harness sits right behind the headlamp, all the wires look fine, everything is wrapped an stuff.
Should I be worried about water? Like a simple wash and some rain? Obviously I wouldn't be drowning it, but I know absolutely nothing about wiring/electronic work.
Motorcycles are built for all kinds of weather. You don;t have to worry when washing it too. As long as you don't do anything retarded like shoving the nozzle of a power washer behind your headlight or into your battery compartment you will be fine.
the wires are sealed, it's a dualsport youre fine. just dont have any exposed wire.
Alrighty, my only experience with bikes is a cbr250, where all the wires are tucked nicely under fairings an quite dusty.
Just odd to have a clusterfuck of wires there.
