Is it just me or do Dodge hemis sound like shit for a V8 compared to the Ford coyote and Chebby LS engines?

It's just you sperger.

still sounds like shit lol

Sound is due to firing order and exhaust system of choice. Mostly exhaust. Stock systems a shit.

Ford has worst sounding v8
All bark, no bite: the car

Dodge does more exhaust work for the Manual Challenger to make it sound better than the rest of its lineup. Fuel injected cars sound like shit.

>5.0
ls1 fag here they sound like shit

This.

Explain how the Viper's V10 doesnt sound like a V10 at all then

I already told you.
Firing order and exhaust can change the sound of an engine. Firing order and header design determine the "base" sound, the rest of the exhaust makes it the best it can be or mutes the hell out of it.

My Wife's .........

All I hear is rice

But the S85 from BMW has the same firing order than the Viper V10 and with straight pipes it can sound like a F1 car, while the Viper with straight pipes sounds like a strange truck V8

clean the grains out of your ears then chink

Should I clean the cock outta my ass too?

Going on youtube, with both straight piped they sound about the same. The BMW has way less rotating mass and probably a shorter stroke so it can rev higher, at the same rpm they'll sound approximately the same. Will link videos that show best examples in a second.

Viper audio. Skip to 1 minute exactly. Sounds odd at idle because of an aggressive cam.

BMW audio. Skip to 0:25. Much better audio quality but you get the idea.

The 6.4 sounds way better

And?

Viper has always been odd because it has true side pipes. The second gen had some dual exhaust that came out the back.

I dont know, maybe its displacement, but the BMW sounds more acute, white the viper sounds like a big displacement truck V8

Both sound awesome, but the BMW clearly makes me remember of the old V10 F1 cars screaming down the track

You only really get a brief blip of the viper. I think if he wasn't in the garage and could make it scream longer you'd hear basically the BMW at the same RPM. As I said the BMW revs higher and thus pitches up slightly more, closer to an F1 car's RPM.

leave them in ;3

Ford, im lovin itt

That bmw sounds like a i4 with a fart can when it does the pull

Get your ears checked.

True, on a side note, blip or not, that Viper sounds like a monster when straight piped

The bimmer might give you a spook if it comes screaming on your rear view mirror on the highway, but if the viper did the same, I would think satan's chariot was trying to drag race some one next to me

>cold start
>proceeds to rev vehicle straight off the start
nice

I've thought a lot about this.
Modern V8s sound like they are trying to imitate old V8s, and sound like shit in doing so.

Modern Hemis are actually wedgeheads but.

Compare a 392 to this.

Old V8s sounds so much smoother than their modern counterparts because they weren't trying to sound like anything.

just because an engine "sounds smooth" doesnt mean its efficent, safe, able to meet emmissions standards, or actually produce power effectively relative to its size and weight

THIS IS JUST ANOTHER CASE OF

HUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I WANT MY INJUN TO SOUND THIS WAY

THE ENGINEERS DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING

THIS IS HOW INJUN SHUD SOUND

I KNOW BETTER THAN LITERAL DECADES OF PROGRESSION AND DEVELPOMENT

>just because an engine "sounds smooth" doesnt mean its efficent, safe, able to meet emmissions standards, or actually produce power effectively relative to its size and weight
That has nothing to do with this thread.
