Anyways, they don't perform well around tracks, since they're heavy, and they still adhere to the laws of physics. They don't do endurance well, because they lack quick resource resupply. They don't do extended acceleration into high speeds well, it's just the short spring to 100MPH they exceed in.

You can't compare that consumable with the resources needed to create a vehicle. There might not even be enough lithium and such to get a significant electric car percentage in the market before the price starts hiking even more than it already does. Our grid isn't made to supply even a 20% electric car society. Hell, we might not even have enough power plants for that.
