I played all the translated games and nocturne is by a wide margin my favorite. It my favorite RPG all franchise included.

I'd be surprised if the new SMT isn't on PS4.

I've played the majority of MT games and I think Nocturne is the best precisely because of how different it is.
Whether or not it conforms enough to the rest of the mainline series has no bearing on the overall quality of the game.

It still has the best, purest implementation of press-turn, which is the best battle system. It still has the best aesthetics and holds up to this day. I won't debate the soundtrack, think what you will about that.

I really enjoyed SJ but it ain't better than Nocturne.

The moment the camera turned, and you see all the shadows of the demons with the glowing eyes, I immediately thought of Nocturne's title screen. The music, classic SMT-esque chime at the end...it looked great for a teaser.

Still needs a Pokemon and a Monster Hunter to make me go wild. I don't care much for modern Takahashi anymore, and he's not even the director.
