MK2 Golf

What are some nice aesthetic mods I can do to my car without it being rice? It's just...one of those cars. I was looking to pic related for inspiration, but it's a little OTT.

Factory Default

Anything other than factory options is rice.

I don't mean necessarily doing things too radical, but what about just removing the shitty econobox-spec plastic trim?

What year is yours? Mine is a '88. Really wish i could remove the plastic trims on the side but you end up with holes in your body. The early Mk2's pre '86 come with plastic trims glued on. You can take them off easily.

That's a spicy mama, user. Mine's a '91 which is a shame, I think the car looks way better without the trim. Is yours Alpine white, too?

L90E Alpine White indeed user! Yours looks lovely from what i can see. Not really keen on big bumpers though. But that's a personal thing. Some coilovers change the looks of your car real fast! What engine are you running?

Yeah, I bought the car with the big bumpers, was going to see about getting some small ones, but they are awfully expensive. I need to get some good pictures taken of her! I'm running the 8v 1.6L SOHC engine that came stock in the car.

I think that they actually look really nice, it's a nice convergence of two great but very different German brands.

To be clear. The front does look bigger now i look at it myself. This is because i had 2 spare tires left in my garage. Tires are a bit stretched. Rear is not stretched.
