Well CK2 "includes an element of roleplaying". The game will never be able to stop a determined player from becoming emperor besides adding the blocks Conclave added. You can turn off some of the features they added, but the council, while annoying, isn't a bad feature. Try the CK2+ or HIP version for the present game version if you want, I think they tweak TRD and Conclave to be less shit.

It's designed to make play a ruler much more tedious with little payout. You just spam favors and then call them in when you need to vote on reducing council powers. Your council is permanently gimped as if you don't put your "powerful" vassals on it they get a -40 modifier even though there will be like 10 powerful vassals in your land as a king.

I predate Steam and therefore Steamcordplaza, and am less attempting to "shit up" the OP than to actually get it updated, since everyone else was too lazy to do so. As far as Aurora and DW, honestly at this point it looks to me like there's maybe 2 guys arguing for it and 2 or 3 arguing against it. What would I replace it with, presuming I do remove them? Especially Distant Worlds. Do I drag Rome back? Either way I'm not going to do anything to them for now simply because it seems to me that most people don't care. It'd be a lot easier if we had some way to find out how many people actually do care but I dunno. Give it a bit to see how the """argument""" pans out.
