Sorry VINbro but I gotta start a thread with your format. I have one request:
JF1ZCAC15F9604856
>This is my format *BASIC INFORMATION* >Year/Make/Model -Engine: -Last recorded odometer reading (official): -Estimated current odometer reading:
*MAINTENANCE/SERVICE*
*ALERTS* -Title: -Flood damage: -Reported theft: -Open recalls: -Reported odometer fraud: -Last registration on record: -Last safety inspection on record: -Last emissions inspection on record: __________________________________
Please be responsible for timing. I check VINs every 15-24 hours and sometimes there is the one guy asking """hey brah can you check this VIN ASAP imma look at the car in about an hour""""... TL;DR: Post the VIN at least a day before you plan on seeing the car. If it helps to know, I start checking from 9am-1pm California time. : ' )
Also, I'm open to suggestions for my "format", I'm thinking of removing some things or making some of them less descriptive, idk, date format (m/d/y or m/y, place of repair, etc.. mostly from the maintenance section). just to cut down on character limit. Maybe the Mod-man can do some magic? :)
Lastly, VINs from Motorcycles, Dirt Bikes, snowmobiles, etc don't show any records 99.9% of the time.
VIN that is not native to the US, Canada or Hawaii will not work.
VIN for cars of only >1981 and up will work.
>Sources I use 4 reputable sources. That is all I can say. Anyway, I ran VINs from many cars and everything is accurate and detailed.

OK, here's the deal. I only have access to AutoCheck.com which kind of sucks but should have any significant incidents. (I can't make any guarantees; it's not my website.) All this copy-paste formatting looks like a royal pain, so I'm just going to screenshot the results page and post that.

Moved to a different computer and forgot to put on the trip that I used last night. Whatever.
I skipped those two because I know that AutoCheck isn't going to give me the info that you're looking for there. You might get more meaningful info going through a site with more detailed records like CarFax.
I skipped a couple of others because the summary didn't indicate any problems and it said they only had a few (

I'm just remembering to say that you could try calling the Plano PD with the case number to find more details about the crash. Plano is a real city so they'll probably tell you to fuck off, file a form, and wait a few months, but you might catch someone in a good mood. It worked for me a few weeks ago, albeit calling a much smaller municipality.

Whoever the based person doing these is, thank you so much. I have two VINs, one for the engine in the car and one for the car itself.

Do all of the VIN check services only work with standardized VINs? I'm trying to piece together the history of my Mercedes but it's a '78 so nothing recognizes its bullshit serial number thing. What happens to all of the cars made before 1982? Does the internet just not acknowledge their existence even if they have an extensive service history into the present day?
