I'd rather an FP exp gatcha that gives out both ce exp and servant exp, and can give out 1-5* exp at similar rates to the regular gatcha.

Seriously, don't bother. Instakill is a garbage mechanic and it shouldn't have been included in the first place.

He's great, my only niggle with him is that he doesn't have a separate NP as hyde (or even if his NP would switch between them with the heal)

Servants have a very low Death Rate so even that 300% would give you a very low % of killing them, barely higher than rolling a 5* Servant from the gacha.

Instakill is not a garbage mechanic. It's simply not meant to be used against Servants but against Bronze/Silver/Gold monster enemies. It's very satisfying instakilling +200k HP enemies. That's how I farm richard hair in Babylonia in 2 turns even.
