guessing no one itt has owned either a modern jaguar or Range Rover
I had a 2008 RR vogue hse, 2015 f type r and now a 2015 rr sport sc. Never had a problem with the f-type but got rid of it after only a year. The 2008 RR ran flawlessly with no issues, sold it to a friend and it still runs fine after 100k+ miles. The new generation sport has been a slightly different story. I've put 25k miles on it and have had water pump issues, thermometer malfunctions, rattles, and generally weird niggling things that are minor but still annoying when the car cost almost $100k new. The RR dealerships are terrible and gouge the hell out of you for everything, even if it should probably be covered under warranty. To anyone considering buying one I would say to make sure that you are near a dealership and that you can cough up the cash if something goes wrong. You're looking at $850 annual service and another $800 when a sensor begins malfunctioning. Water pump $3k.
With that said I still like the car. Plenty sporty for such a big thing and almost as comfortable as the ultraluxe brands like Bentley and Rolls Royce with the benefit of being more practical for daily use and distance driving.
